For those interested, a few of us (CVR and RAL XC) are doing the the Holiday Fun Run in Ridgefield on Dec. 1 its a 10k/5k. It is put on by the Ridgefield Runners, they are a fairly new group, thought it would be good to support them not to mention getting to run some place new.

Anyone in CVR or Longview doing the Holiday fun run this Saturday? I'm planning on doing it. Kind of wondering how the race is for those that participated in it last year?

I ran the race last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. The course is a little hilly but not too bad. The race is very well organized with electronic results produced shortly after the race finish. They had great post race goodies, coffee, cocoa. They also had nice raffle prizes so you really should hang around for that. Age group awards were xmas ornaments. Last year it snowed which also it pretty cool, but I don't see that happening again this year. I am not running but I believe Susan and her husband Ken are, and I have heard the Kevin Filkowski will probably run it again as well. Have fun and good luck! |
