I did this run yesterday, first time I ever ran in Ridgefield. I guess they said they had a lot more people than expected. There were a lot of people their, even the local soccer club ran. Afterwards, they had awards and drawings. It was a pretty hilly run, and since I had been running hills all week long, I didn't look forward to doing any hills. None the less, I came in at 46:28 or 38, can't remember. Was hoping to beet 45 minutes, and if the hills weren't there, I possibly could have. The run was 3.1 miles one way and then a turn around in the neighborhoods. Felt like the country a little bit.
The weather was great, and of all the events I've been to, this one is really nice, because they give out so many awards, for the top 3 in each age group, and so many raffles, so a lot of people get recognition. Santa was there too, he started the race. They also had an official timer, so that was nice when finishing.
And tried out the new Garmin 305, and it was awsome! [/b] |
