Most everyone out there likes the "old-skool" style 2D Sonic games much better than the newer 3D games. The critics gave Sonic Rush such good reviews because of it's step backwards in the gameplay style of Sonic.

yeah the older sonics are still the best but sonic heroes was the companies first major 3D version breakthrough with teamplay enabled allowing use of more characters and there abilities which i loved but now the games i dont really give them any though any more

tell me about it, I think the storyline isn't gonna be good, but i'll probably end up beating some giant ship on extra zone.
I wish they'd release a sonic game with 3D gameplay on DS, I get bored of 2D, & the 3D superform fights are the best  |

The problem is, though, if they made the whole game 3D, it would be a lot less fast paced.

Sonic & the secret rings my friend, Sonic & the secret rings.
the game was 3D with a fixed route like on the 2D games, & was apparently supposed to be extra fast, so if they did something like that, I would be addicted! |

it seems that the newer games are of similar gameplay to previous games so really your playing the same games as you were for only with new levels and different enemies oh and graphics

WHoa, that would be so awesome! A 3D Sonic game, but linear like the 2D ones, and from the side view like the 2D ones, and on the DS! That would be awesome!
What that's called is 2.5D. 3D, but on a set path, like a 2D game. Games such as Spider-Man 3 for DS do that.

And Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle had some chao that you could take care of, I liked that about those games. |
