I was introduced to Kirby by the original Super Smash Bros., and then, my first Krby game was Nightmare in Dreamland.

LOLZ!
Most of you already know this, but, Kirby started out as a substitute for a character in a clay model of a video game level or something. It was just basically a little lump of clay meant to represent the character. But then, they liked it so much, the gave it the name Kirby and started a video game on it...
The above information is not guaranteed to be correct, seeing that it was a long time ago that I read that, and my memory is failing me at the moment...
