I was just a little curious about an upcoming situation.
Lilly had her litter on Friday. Everyone is doing great! All 8 of them. They are EVERYWHERE!
Milly is going to have a litter, probably within the week, because I can see the babies moving inside her.
All 3 of our adults cuddle with Lilly's pups. Milly more than anyone.
When Milly's pups arrive, is the older pups going to let the younger ones eat, or are they going to be in their glory, having 2 nursing moms?
I haven't seen this situating on any forums. Has anyone had to deal with this?
I think Milly's litter will also be a large one, since I can see the pups moving, as I could with Lilly. _________________ I'm in the US, Pennsylvania, to be exact. Not much known about degus in this area. Get funny looks when we mention that we have them! We love our 3 degus and learn more about them everyday. |

They should be fine and the mums will both take care of the babies and the younger and older babies will all interact. This is what happens in the wild as they have large communal nests _________________
