I have 2 male degus and one of them bite the others tail, he even has a bald patch because of it, is there anything i can do to stop this - they seem to get on fine apart from this!!
¸Hi!
We have family - 6 little babies and sometimes little one chewing mother's and father's tail, without any consequences, so in my opinion that is their behavior. With two males it is possible that with that shove who is stronger and the boss? Maybe? If they fight I would separate them..-
I've seen this amongst my recent rescue boys too. It didn't seem to be meant aggressively - in fact it looked playful - and the one being bitten didn't seem too fussed. So it doesn't appear to be anything to worry about.
