I am posting on behalf of the 13 degus in the CA shelter. They have 2 with the symptoms of runny nose and sneezing. They have them on a sulfa based antibiotic used for guinea pigs. Is this something anyone can consul me on? The vet on staff there doens't deal with degu's they are illegal there in CA. Thanks in advance everyone!
I imagine the antibiotic you mentioned will be fine as its suitable for guinea pigs. Did the vet say what he thought was wrong? Runny nose and sneezing can sometimes indicate an allergy rather then cold/flu. Are the two degus eating and drinking ok? _________________
