Hi everyone,

Hope this is the right place to post, I'm looking to get my first pair of degus so have been busily researching them. Only thing - I can't seem to work out how I'd actually get any!

I've seen them in Pets at Home but have heard real horror stories about their animals having never been handled etc so would prefer to try a breeder/rehome first. There aren't any in my local RSPCA unfortunately.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks

FJ xx

I agree try the above link as they will transport if they can to anywhere in England Smile

I sometimes have rescues in looking for homes (live not to far away from Buxton and am prepared to meet half way for a good home) but i haven't got any at the moment but if any should arrive i will let you know as i'm always looking for good homes for them Smile

Pets at Home degus aren't all that bad but they are over priced in my opinion. My local pet store sells them for £16 a pair compared to pets at homes £45 and the pet stores are of better quality and well bred Smile

Thanks - that would be great. I've emailed Sarah and filled in the forms - just waiting for her to get back to me.

Buxton isn't far at all - do please give me a shout if you have any degus looking for homes!

Hi there,

My partner and I are also looking for our first pair of degu's. We wouldn't really want to buy from pets at home as they appear to be over-priced. Plus we'd prefer to rescue/rehome or support a breeder where possible.

We're from the west cheshire area however can travel across cheshire/manchester/north wales, thats not a problem.

If anyone has any help or advice it would be most appreciated!

Thanks a lot Smile
