Hi everyone Smile

I was wondering if you guys could help me out with some write-ups that I have to do on a few products. As you already know, there aren't very many degu specific treats on the market and I was wondering if you would give these guinea pig and rabbit treats to your 'goo Smile

The first treat I was wondering about is called Citrus'C Orange Slices. the ingredients are: Carrot Meal, Dried Orange, Corn Starch, Sodium Alginate, Water, Potassium Sorbate (preservative), Ascorbic Acid (source of vit. C).

Is this safe for a degu? I've never heard whether or not dried oranges have too much natural sugar or not (is it "good sugar" because it's naturally in the orange?) I'm not sure about this "good sugar" rumour Wink

These other 2 treats have alfalfa in them and I'm a little curious about the safety

Citrus'C Tangerine Dream treats..Ingredients: Dried Tangerine, Alfalfa, Corn Starch, Sodium Alginate, Water, Potassium Sorbate (preservative), Ascorbic Acid (source of vit. C)

And this Wood Cup with Alfalfa has : Pine Wood, Alfalfa, Rice, Sodium Alginate, Potassium Sorbate (preservative), Sodium Diaceate (preservative), Artificial Color (FD & C Yellow #5, Blue #2, Yellow #6)

Lastly, Im concerned about all these veggies in Veggie Puffs : Ground Corn, Ground Rice, Dehydrated Carrots, Dehydrated Cabbage, Dehydrated Spinach, Dehydrated Celery

Thank you so much for your help, I know you'll give me some of the info I'm looking for Smile

Oh, and you'll probably be getting a lot of these questions in the future  Laugh out loud Thank you!!!!!!!! Smile

Personally i would be careful of feeding anything with citrus in it as i'm not 100% sure its any good  for degus. So i would personally rule anything out that has citrus in it.

The wood cups they should be ok Wink

The veggie puffs would be ok as a treat once a week though as nothing overly bad in them Smile
