Me Again, first nothing for a few weeks and now I am posting almost every night. Sorry about all the questions. I have two UK foods bought for my degus the first being JR Farm Degu food and the second being Beaphar Extravital degu food. Anyone tried these and if so are they actually proper degu food (as in specific to degus as it states on the packet) and what is your opinion of it?
Mine have eaten both but just wanted to check with the regular degu owners. Thank you......again |

Mine love the JR stuff too I need to get a big bag ordered, they were out of stock when I first got my boys so I just went for a little one. I mix in chin pellets as thats what they were eating before so its gone a long way. |

The only thing i will say with any degu mix apart from the JR farm one is becareful feeding it as a staple diet as most are bulked out with fillers. The JR farm one isn't so bad and my guys get it on top of their main diet _________________

Thanks for all your advice on the JR degu food from Zoo Plus. I am alternating between the only two degu mixes I have found on the market. Someone mentioned that it mat not be great feeding the Beaphar one as a main diet, can you advise what you would call a main diet for degu's, just want to check that I am feeding them all the correct foods. Thanks. |

By main diet i mean guinea pig pellets as they contain all the nutrients a degu actually requires and they should always be available as well as plenty of fresh hay _________________
