Before too long, I'm going to have to go out of town for a weekend. I'll have a pet sitter, but I try not to ask her to do anything that would require opening Imana's cage - because that makes her nervous Imana will run off.
So, I was wondering the best way to dry veggies? Is in the oven the best way? I have been looking for the info, because I know it's on here somewhere, I just haven't been able to find it yet.
I'm wanting to know what temperature to do it at, and for how long.
I'm thinking if I dry Imana some veggies, I can make her a nice little foraging bowl with them, and then she can have access to veggies even while I'm out of town. _________________

I dry mine in the oven although you can buy a machine to do it in that you set to a temperature but they tend to be expensive so i do what i need in small batches in the oven.
I usually put mine in on a low heat in the middle of the oven for a couple of hours, turning them over a couple of times to allow even cooking. They go mad for broccolli especially _________________

They can also eat raw/fresh veggies but i've found over the years not all degus will take to fresh veggies and much prefer dried. Like us its preference as to what they like. Try them with fresh if they won't touch them try the dried _________________
