hi, jus wondering and this question is directed at mammy's or daddy's with one degu kept on its own,
i have a lovely baby boy he's nine months old, he's on his own in the cage but seems to be in perfect mood and always full of life,
how does your degu behave? are they really happier kept in pairs? |

Why do you only have one? as degus are socialable animals then I think they are far better ff with company of their own species. |

Hi, i have to say i personally would never keep a single degu on their own no matter how much attention you can give them. This is because in teh wild they live in very large groups, and i personally believe that when you keep them in pairs or larger groups they are mentally stimulated as well as physically.
Any degu i have had that have ended up alone, i have noticed a big change in their personallity. He may be fine on his own, but put him with other degu and im sure you will see a difference for the better!
hope this helps!! |
