At the moment the degus live in my bedroom but its not ideal as they are very noisy and make a lot of mess but the only other place for them to go is the concrete shed attached to the side of the house. would this be cold for them in there? |

Hi,
I have mine in an extension on the side of the house, normally they are fine in there however we have had some bad weather and it is a little colder in there due to tiled flooring and vaulted ceilings, so i have given them more bedding etc. So its hard to say, although what i would say is that since they have been in your bedroom they will be acclimatised to the temperature, to then put them somewhere much cooler may give them colds and generally not agree with them. A possibility would be to wait until warmer weather and then introduce them into the room to become accustomed to the weather change. However it depends on just how cold the room is, and if it has any windows as to weather they would be ok. I personally would keep them in my room, and move them somewhere else in the house during the night. |

I think it would be too cold for them personally, i agree move them out your room at night if you can. Although i used to keep some of mine in my bedroom and they used to go to bed at night _________________
