hiya
well we got our degus last friday, and seem to be settling in nicely, also one of them lets you handle it loads, the other one is not 100% about it, but they are quite tame really.
I have been given them the pets at home herbal garden as treats, not sure if this has anything to do with this, but i stuck my hand in before just to say hello, and one had a sniff and the other one started to sniff and nip. i moved my hand slowly away and he followed it and started like a gentle nip then a bit harder, nothing that hurt, but a bit uncomfortable. I did the 'squeek' thing that was suggested someone on this site, but did not seem to take the hint (I tried a few times). In the end I was worried about having a red hand so took it out.
Any ideas/suggestions??? |
