Highlights Include:
1. Women Veterans - Issues faced at war and at home. Stress is taking its toll on them and sexual trauma is another factor involved.
2. Sgt. Maj. Brad Kasal was highlighted as a force to be reckoned with. He was shot 7 times and survived during the Nov. 2004 Battle of Fallujah.
3. NJ lawmakers attempt to Void Vets Day. Specifically, Gov. Jon Corzine vetoed the parts of a bill that would have abolished mandatory teaching about the importance of Veterans Day and Memorial Day. He said such action, "trampled on fundamental principles."
4. Wal-Mart is offering $4 prescriptions to vets at their pharmacy's.
5. Young Vets Unemployment is in decline.
6. The VFW is now recruiting women as members. Women who serve can now join as veterans where before they would have to join the Auxiliary.
