While not technically a veteran's organizations, the American Red Cross and its international counterpart, the International Red Cross and its many subsidiary organizations, has helped both active/reserve duty servicemen, veterans and their families, as well as, civilians around the country in time of crisis. It has its roots in the American Civil War and has grown to be respected as one of the premier organizations that responds to personal, local, reginal or even global disasters. It is always at the forefront when it comes to helping those in need and, more importantly supporting our active/reserve duty military personnel and civilian emergency services personnel in times of need. Whether it is a simple care package from home to a lonely serviceman in a foreign country or medical aid or other assistance to a family or community in crisis, you can rely on the Red Cross to do its best to help out. Visit their hompage at the following URL and learn for yourself what they are all about: http://www.redcross.org/ .
That's it for today folks. See you ASAP. Meanwhile, take care and all my best to you and yours.

Hi again all,
As promised, here is the information about the USO. If you benefited, as I did, from them as a serviceman/woman, then you know how much they are valued. They have helped to lift the morale of US military personnel through many wars, both declared and undeclared, as well as here in the US with programs for military personnel stationed at bases around the country. To learn more about them and how you can help them continue their very important services go to this URL: http://www.uso.org/ .
That's it for today folks. See you ASAP. Meanwhile, as always, take care and all my best to you and yours.

Hi all,
If you were ever a prisoner of war, then the American Ex-Prisoners of War service organization is an important organization for you to be aware of. They are aware of the unique problems that ex-POWs have and are there to see to it that you get the type of help and respect that you deserve. Here is their homepage URL: http://www.axpow.org/ .
That's it for today foks. Take care and all my best to you and yours.
