Agent Orange This is a topic that is still relevant over 30 years since the end of the Vietnam War; as the government (as in the Military, Congress and the Dept. of Vet. Affairs) is still coming to grips with. So all who have a particular interest in this issue are welcome to contribute and debate on it. This is an EDUCATIONAL topic string and open to all. Cancer & Cancer Survivors As many of you may know cancer can be caused by many external sources and the military service, as well as civilian ememrgency services, have always been an unfortunate supplier of many of those sources. It kinda goes with the territory. This forum is dedicated to informing you of those possible sources, what recourse(s) you may have to deal with cancer and how you became exposed to an environmental source and to in general educate you about cancer. It is also dedicated to those who have fought hard and won the battle against cancer. So I hope that those of you who are Cancer Survivors will feel free to share your stories. They will be appreciated not only for your personal efforts to fight the good fight; but will also be both educational and, hopefully, inspirational to us all. This is an EDUCATIONAL topic string and open to all members.

Service- Connected Medical Issues Here is where you can come to discuss various medical issues that are believed to have a connection to your experiences while in the service. NOBODY will laugh or ridicule you here. Compassion and empathy are the watch words of this forum. Police And Law Enforcement If you have served in any form of law enforcement then this is your place. Share you experiences here and know that many who come in here will have been there and done that as well or worked with those who have or are related to same. You served in harm's way in a civilian environment and you you all had your losses and successes; but most importantly you are ALL heroes.

Fire And Rescue Like wiht the Police And Law Enforcement forum this is dedicated to those who have served their community and made a difference in many peoples lives. You served in harm's way in a civilian environment and you you all had your losses and successes; but most importantly you are ALL heroes. I, myself, served as a firefighter, rescue technician 2 and dispatcher in the States of Alaska and Maine.

Military Medical Personnel From All Services This is for all those who not only chose to save/preserve life in the spirit of the Hippocratic Oath; but chose to also put themselves in harms ways wherever they are needed in the world. You served in harm's way, more recently in heavily populated civilian urban environments and you all had your losses and successes; but most importantly you are ALL heroes. I am one who did this and earned the title of "Doc" from the Marines and Navy personnel (particularly Navy pilots) because I took care of those under my care and responsibility.

Medal of Honor Awardees and MIAs This is where we will honor those who made the supreme sacrifice/effort on behalf of their fellow soldiers and sailors and their country. Since this is an international forum; I also welcome and encourage postings from other countries about awardees of their country's highest military award in the same spirit as the 'US Medal of Honour', such as the British 'Victoria Cross', the WWII German 'Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross' and the German Army's current highest award, the 'Ehrenmedaille' (recently presented to Staff Sgt. Jonathon Zapien, a special forces Soldier assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, N.C.), and the old Soviet Union's 'Order of Victory' and Russia's current highest award the 'Hero of Russia Award'. Also, I encourage the listing from other nations of their MIAs so they too will not be forgotten. Moderator PATCHES
