Just want to give everyone a "State of the Clan" as I see it...
Recently there's been a general laxity in regards to the entire CoC.
I won't go into the specifics except to say that it's my intent (and those of our clan officers) to be more vigilant in protecting the entire tone of the /a chat.
Noone wants to listen to /a chat and hear (a) someone griping or (b) some personal arguement which could as easily be conducted in /t's.
Let's face it...it sucks when that happens and totally subtracts from being online.
I consider ensuring the common civility of /a chat (which should be a "given") a top priority.
I understand if a cuss word slips out in the "heat of passion"...but there are limits...and of course malicious attacks are totally inexcusable.
There's also been some negative vibes because unfortunately our quest haven't been running on schedule lately.
In essence we're over-hauling the entire way we've been planning and executing quests.
In general terms there is now a "Questing Comittee" that will plan and schedule the quests. The members are (in my estimate) well in tune with the general mood of which quests need to be run so I have complete faith that this will improve the situation .
Considering that comittee is composed (in part) of patrons whose vassals have expressed interest in questing specifically....I think we're going to get some good comments and some truely positive reform...which I look forward to.
As far as my personal contribution towards making these reforms reality it's my intent to be entirely more vigilant personally. Both in policing the /a chat and doing my best to be sure every quest scheduled is run.
I also want to express confidence in our clan officers. If they hear someone say something in the "heat of passion" I'm sure we all understand that. But..if there's some repetitive abuse in /a chat (with intent)...and they gag or take away someones /a chat privledges...they are just what I told them to do.
That's all I have to say at the moment...but as I think of more....I'll add it later....;)
