So one time at band camp…. (American Pie reference) Last night I was only on for about an hour, but thought I would provide a brief update on my progress towards flagging for Viss… Well it is going slow as is normal with me… This quest probably could be done pretty quickly but I am doing it solo and for the first time so I guess it is taking me a little longer …
I will start off by saying I died once in the dungeon… my death was somewhat foreshadowed by a discovery while looking at stuff by bracketing and seeing a corpse of Teddy Bear Fury on my radar who I know is a much level higher character than myself… The dungeon is pretty easy… the only trick is knowing to pull a candlestick to open a locked door… There is a jump down where there are 4 level 175 Doomed Spirits…and a couple of more down the halls… Kind of reminded me of the 125 Eaters dungeon jump downs… Like the first dungeon you go through for this quest it was pretty easy going on the first level and the dungeon is pretty straight forward… My first time through I made the jump and was doing pretty good… killed a couple of the Spirits and had 2 on me when I died… not sure what happened… I am guessing I got critical hit 2 times in a row… because I went from 300 health to 0 in a split second… the Spirits were landing lots of debuffs so it is entirely possible that is what happened… I play on a wireless connection as well and maybe I lagged a little…anyway regardless of why it happened, I died… I rebuffed and decided to give it another run solo after working off my Vitae in the 125 Eaters Dungeon… Since I knew the way I pretty much ran by everything to the jump down, pulling the candle first… (Note: there is a Black Reliquary right across or rather diagonal from the jump down) I opened it but it was all junk inside… also (Note: There is at least one static spawn of a SSK chest on the first level of the dungeon) If you do not know these contain ruined weapons which actually come in handy, so worth saving the SSK keys and looting those chest particularly if you have lowish level vassals, Ruined weapons have level requirements but like I said I still think they are useful and I use mine as a quick way to debuff a creature while holding my shield …
Are you riveted, so far? Ok…now back to the story…
The second time through I decided to try and limit the number of Spirits on me when possible to hopefully avoid a repeat of my previous experience… this worked pretty good but I did frequently have 2 on me at one time and sometimes 3… this time they were not hitting me as hard and I took them down pretty easy…As I made my way through the rest of the dungeon there were Wisps and more Spirits… I really had no issues until the last room… Unlike the night before in the Devastated Fallacot Dungeon I did not run into the last room… and I made sure to kill everything leading up to the room in case I needed to retreat… The last room contains quite a few Doomed Spirits… I did not count but maybe 10 or so… Also you have to kill a big Shard thing spinning in the middle of the room for the trophy you need to advance.. If you go as a group you could probably just rush the room but I am pretty sure you would die if you tried that solo… There is an alcove right before the last room and I used that to draw some of the Spirits in and kill them eventually too many got in there, so I had to go to plan “B” “run away…run away” (That is a Monty Python and the Holly Grail reference for those of you counting movie references in this update…) it was really more like a strategic retreat… I was not taking a great deal of damage but the potential of getting instantly zapped was fresh in my mind… I fell back around the previous corner…(remember I killed everything behind me) I dragged a couple of Spirits with me and dispatched them…) after a couple minutes of rinse and repeat.. I had cleared the final room with the exception of the big shard thing… (sorry too lazy to look up the exact name on the Iphone) It looks just like a Keeper… anyway… just pound it into submission and then pick up a shard that drops… it drops several shards as I am sure the quest is intended for groups… I picked one up and then hit the portal to get back to the Keepers…
“The battle had been hard but I was victorious. In my hand I held a radiant shard that would serve as my key to the next gate…”
I am now ready for the next part of the flagging quest….The Gateway of Lurza…
Stay tuned… _________________ S n S Level 172+

Unfortunately it has been a little over a week since my last post. Most of that week was spent on orders for Navy training…. “Thank you sir, may I have another”… Anyway we are ramping up for my free vacation in the sandbox or perhaps the more scenic mountains… not sure which it will be at the moment… anyway I digress… so since I am not young my memory of the remaining things I did to complete the Viss Flagging are shall we say fuzzy… but be assured I have completed my Viss Flagging and am Life Stoned now on Viss…which is a good thing as I died many times while exploring the Island…
Now some thoughts on Vissidal Island… Hmmm… not too bad… The xp is great relative to anything else I have hunted… as a melee I own the Sharks, as long as I have my shield between them and myself… The Moarsmen are not too bad either… the Grimy’s can hurt if not careful.. The Niffis, Golems and Remoran I can all kill but I avoid them because of the debuffs and the war magic… it is just annoying… I know the trophies give a little better xp but what is the point… it takes be forever to kill a Gold Niffis… I could find and kill 3 Gold Sharks in the same time it takes to kill one Gold Niffis… I figured out pretty quick it is best to hug the coast and target your attacks… although I can take 1 to 2 packs of sharks on me… a pack of anything else can get painful quick and running will lead to many debuffs and dragging lots of things on you… that you probably do not want on you because that is why you ran in the first place… So let’s talk about “The Deep” that is where you get flagged for the kill quests and turn in trophies… sounds like a nice place… umm… not. There are some big mobs in the center of the island so guess where the “The Deep” is? You got it… Just to clarify for newbies and people like me… the “The Deep” is the white swirling energy thing… I did not think to bracket and thought it was a portal or something… You can click it and hand trophies to it… The problem as I alluded to above is getting to the “The Deep” I have not successfully walked/ran through the mobs without taking big damage, you will drag them and may get cornered if you are not careful… 95% of my deaths are going to and coming from the “The Deep” spawns are very close to the physical rock/cave formation and frequently within dragging distance, so even if you make it to the “The Deep” you will probably have to clear at least one mob in order to stand there long enough to hand in trophies or flag… sometimes the mobs are thinner and it is not too bad… I have noticed that north of the “The Deep” it seems clear… so you can retreat there and fight or die… so you can get your body… but I cannot not confirm that is always the case… since I have only been a there a few times… (If someone knows the best avenue for approach please let me know) the area seems pretty well ringed in… additionally there are usually bodies laying around so I did not feel too bad when I died…(I had company)… As I mentioned above the xp is pretty good… everything pays 600,000+ per kill and the lowest trophy item pays 6.5 million … For me it was pretty easy to collect 30 items in a few hours… I think you can probably make well over 100 million an hour solo…between the trophies and killing things… I will try and put some hard numbers on it and confirm that… So long story short… that is where I am hunting now… I will work to flag for the Dark Isle at the end of the week… I want to tweak my Magic D a bit and put some points in health/endurance/stamina before I attempt that flagging…
This is getting long… so I will post an update Part Deux later if I have time… _________________ S n S Level 172+

Ok, this second update will just be some scatter shooting... I will hit on some quests I participated in and do a review of sorts for playing AC on a netbook via wireless internet...
Let’s start with the quests... I was able to jump on Dark Bobo last week... It went smoothly and I did not die… but I was pulling rear guard duty, so I took very little damage... I usually die on that quest and that might be why I was assigned rear guard... WS and Anna did a great job as usual... However as those that went on the quest learned the “Dude” you turn the token into for the xp has been removed from the game... so no xp for us... oh well... I am sure that will eventually be fixed and we can turn in the Dark Bob token for xp later... after the quest somebody was talking about doing the Aphus Lassel recall quest... I did not have that one yet, so I was all ears... WS was kind and offered to lead... We went through the whole thing... (it was getting late) and we were at the end... Did you know that there is a bit of an AC joke on this particular quest? It seems if you are wielding a trophy from Dark Bobo… sword, paw wand or let’s say the Tusker Helm... you are teleported like 5 miles into the sky and dropped into a cage…this happens when you click Obogunalkdsfa&*^^ @& (I forget the NPC’s name the big Tusker King looking guy) to get the recall spell... pretty cool huh? Well I was unaware of this and was wearing a Tusker Helm... presto bango... oh and by the way my wife was getting impatient with my AC playing this particular night...
AHhhhhhhhhhhhh... as I fell from the sky... my health went to like 33 and I was in a bamboo cage that you cannot jump out of... I had to portal recall to get out of the cell... but of course it did not take me to the place I needed to go (back to the King guy)... So basically I did 2 quests and had very little to show for it... The good news is a did not die... Snail offered to help me get flagged again but my wife and real life take precedence over AC, so I logged... I will look Snail up when I feel up to it... I get frustrated when things like that happen... maybe I will be successful next time... and I will make sure I am not wearing or wielding a Dark Bobo trophy...
Last night I went on the Prodigal Son quest... this one was pretty easy but somehow Bad Magic died not sure what happened there... anyway... it was pretty good xp and a Mana Forge Key... We ran through a bunch of mazes killed some stuff got some keys and finely ended up somewhere (as you can tell by now I have no idea what this quest was about... I saw they were running a quest and jumped in last minute) and killed a Virindi and got a couple of trophy items and ended up back at Candeth Keep for the final turn in... (That was the short version) it took a long time because we had to wait for respawns. I want to say thanks to WS for leading and thanks to Anna, WS, Witchie and PA and all those in the clan that lead quests in general... I appreciate your time and effort... I know sometimes it is like herding cats…
Ok... “and now for something completely different”... So I was out of town for 4 days last week. I bought a new netbook about a month ago... it is an Asus 1002H with windows xp, but there are many out there now... Acer, Asus, MSI, Dell, Samsung and Lenovo... these things are running Intel Atom single core processors, but manage 1.6 Mhz which ain’t too bad. They all use built in intel graphics... I upgraded my system to 2gb of ram... I downloaded AC and tested it for a few minutes when I had time, just to see how/if AC would even run... And the answer is yes it runs... it actually runs/plays pretty good... Notice I said “pretty good” the keyboard and the touch pad make it a little tricky and the game is a little more laggy than normal but I would rate it acceptable to let's say very acceptable... This was my first chance at extended netbook AC play, so I thought I would share my overall impressions. I spent several hours over the last 4 days hunting Viss using my netbook over a wireless connection (wireless "g" that is)...and everything worked... I did remap a few keys to make it easier to play. So if you (yes you) were wondering how well or even if AC would run on an Atom based netbook with XP the answer is yes... The game runs pretty dang good and might just help you out if you are having AC withdrawals and have access to a decent wireless network. The game runs at 800x600 (you might have to go into settings to make the adjustment... I cannot remember if it automatically adjusted). The game does strain the machine... remember these things are not built (yet) for gaming, so battery life will decrease dramaticallly... I would recommend turning down all the graphic settings, it does improve performance... I also suggest plugging it in if you have access to power…
That wraps things up for today... I will try and put together another update in the next day or two...

Ok, a brief update… I had planned to have more information to share on my progress towards? Hmmm… what am I trying to do exactly… Guess it does not matter that much. However, my immediate goal is actually to get the Chapter House Recall Orb and the cool sword that comes with completing that quest. I started the quest on Sunday which is actually a series of quests…but I did not get to play any more until last night… I will not bore you with the details… the quest or series of quests are… go here retrieve this... talk to somebody yada yada… and at my level they were relatively easy until the final quest which takes place on Viss… As I have previously discussed it can be nasty there… The final quest is to kill a Mukkir in a dungeon on the other side of Viss basically across the island from the Viss Lifestone (hopefully that gives you a perspective on location if you know Viss). I actually was able to survive the run although “My God” around the dungeon was very thick with monsters… I was actually surprised I did not eat it trying to get there… I seem to get laggy in those big mobs and die… So basically there are Broodling Mukkirs and a Boss Mukkir (sorry again to lazy to look up the exact name) The Broodling are level 165 and they hit a little hard but not bad and I could dispatch pretty easily… I read two strategies one was kill the Boss then loot and leave the other was kill the Broodlings then the Boss… well I sort of tried both, which was a mistake…(or shall I say an experiment). By the way this is a really short dungeon, no getting lost in this one… So, I just ran down to the main room and drew a couple Broodlings… killed them and then tried to draw a couple more, but I also got the attention the Big Bad Boss Mukkir… so I decided to see if I could take him down… and the answer is ummmm… not so much… He casts an Acid Ring Spell and it is quite painful and with the added damage done by the annoying Broodlings it did not take me too long to realize I was not hanging… I drank a few health potions but was taking too much damage… so I decided to run but that did not last for long (does running ever work?)… I logged out at the Lifestone (it was late and I was tired)… I think the right strategy if the Boss Mukkir can indeed be solo’d by a melee (at least my level melee) is to draw and kill all the Broodlings and then hit and run the higher level Mukkir… at least that is what I will try this weekend… I really did not loose anything of value (or should I say anything I need)
Once I get through this quest I will work on leveling up a little then hit the Dark Isle Flagging… not sure I can hang there yet…but I will keep everyone posted on my progress or lack there of…

1. I did not play much and
2. Was extremely productive during my limited playing time…
Alright I wanted to make a slight revision to my previous update… those Broodlings in the last dungeon for the Chapter House Recall do hit really hard… When it is just 1 on you it is manageable but 2 or more and the damage just flows… Having said that my strategy to take them 1 at a time did work… and I handled the Boss Mukkir with no big problems so, I was able to get my body and finish the Chapter House Recall quest…Woot!
That was the first of 4 quests I completed this weekend… I also completed Undead Slayer, Dark Isle Flagging and the Teth Lab…
Undead Slayer was not too hard. I now need to try and figure out which weapon to put it on… Special Thanks to Ringfoot who gave me some Alduressa Relic armor… (almost a complete set) while we were waiting for the quest to start. The set is missing the helm (so one piece away from getting the epic)… …it is pretty nice but I muled it as I am afraid I might drop it… I will try and run the aug quest soon and start working on the no drop death items augs…
After we completed Undead Slayer, I saw a message in “General” that Berek was going to do a Dark Isle Flagging. I debated whether or not to do it because it was late (Saturday night)… but decided to go… it went really fast… I had never been on a quest with Berek but I see him running them all the time… He is extremely fast, run here do this, run here… etc… it went really smooth… So shout out to Berek for his help on getting me flagged for Dark Isle… I immediately Life Stone tied and then of course I quickly died… Those creature hit hard… I will need to think about the best strategy for that place… I might just be a little underpowered… I am thinking drag one at a time is my best bet… but I think I will stick with Viss for awhile…and try and get my health up a little more… and my magic d…
Since I am now able to get to the Dark Isle… it is time to start thinking about Relic armor… I have put together a spreadsheet on Relic armor to try and see which set offers the best overall advantage… I think it is really between the Ancient Relic and Noble Relic… Clearly the Ancient Relic is awesome for a mage…(I am sword) however they all offer advantages… overall burden and AL and protection spells goes to Ancient Relic… (which make it my front runner….) however Noble has the +12 spells that can be layered which makes it attractive… hmmm….. but since Ring gave me the Alduressa Armor I might just try and get the Helm(to get my Epic Strength) and run with that for awhile… then work on a second set… Like I said above it is kind of a meaningless at this point as I am not sure I can hang on the Dark Isle yet….
Sunday I went on the clans Teth Lab quest and it went really smooth… Everyone made it through without dying… Anna and WS did a wonderful job as normal directing the 2 fellows that went… The XP was quite good and I am now sitting 67 Million or to level 165…
I saw Chu in game Sunday and she was so awesome… she had some Ivory for me… so that will help with the leveling and XP so I can mule the Mini Trophies I have and start running mini’s again when possible… I still need to find a tinkerer to do my 420 sword XX-58 +11 +11 Epic Quickness… I got some Imperial Topaz and Granite and I forget the other salvage I have (+ to attack)… The recommendation I had was 5 salvage to reduce the damage gap and 4 to increase the attack… which I am debating… I am think 3 – 4 20% reductions is probably max on that sword and I have a rabbits foot as well… So I am think 3 20% to close the damage which leaves 6 tinks… I would think at least 4 to damage and may 2 to attack percent… that would make it…Then undead slayer and rabbits foot if you can do both… I have read you can if you do it in that order… I also saw a sword with Undead and Mukkir on it…which makes me wonder if you could do all three… Undead, Mukkir and a Rabbit’s Foot… although everything I read say you cannot have 2 effects on the same sword which is not true because I have seen it…
xx-62 +13 attack +11 melee… I do not think the melee modifier will matter as much…the alternative would be
xx-64 +11 +11 (I am not sure what max damage is on a 420 sword)
All this does not really matter if the sword blows up anyway… I also pulled a pretty decent sword the other day from a creature on Viss 36ish-54 +15 +15 which I think is near the max for a level 400 sword… it not a super high value sword (a good thing)…so that will be my backup plan if my 420 goes poof…
I think that is pretty much it.. cya in game… _________________ S n S Level 172+
(Sword and Staff)
I was off work yesterday to start on my taxes and of course too play some AC… I have not seen any Allegiance chat about lag… but since they migrated to the new servers I have had pretty bad lag, I am hopeful the servers will balance out over time and this will go away… nothing has changed on my end so I suspect the recent migration is the issue…
I have spent the last couple of days when the servers were up and I could play working on shield quests… I wanted to get a higher base AL shield and I also wanted to get a magic absorbing shield… so I did a little research and determined I should get a Greater Olthio Shield… (my logic was for hollows) I am also curious if since it is unenchantible if that means that baddies cannot cast on it… I thought it might be good to lug it around at least as a backup… I also zeroed in on the Shield of Perfect Light, because let’s face it…it seems pretty easy to get… much easier than the comparable Shield of Isin Dule…
The quest for the Greater Olthio Shield is pretty straightforward except that…. Ummm… the instructions on the AC Wiki site are not correct… to get access to the Ancient Olthio Queen dungeon you need to be flagged… ok..ok… the instructions are not really wrong but maybe inaccurate. They state you only have to complete a few steps to flag but you have to do everything listed to flag before you can get into the dungeon… If I get super motivated I might register and try and fix that on the site to save somebody else some headaches… My 2 cents on the quest… not too bad and relatively easy for my level… I was 164… the shield is a +80 level shield… I solo’d this quest but… a group would make it much easier and quicker… There is no way a level 80-100 could solo… After 3 deaths… I finally figured everything out… 1st right hand rule applies once you pick the right starting tunnel (see acmaps) I just ran by everything… to the bottom level… that part is easy… and you need to be prepared with Stam and Health potions (you will see why) In order to get the shield you have to kill an Olthio Sentinel… I think level 165 (crazy high health) I think a mage or archer might have real issues doing this solo… So let’s talk about my mistakes… my first death – yes.. the infamous keyboard flub… I went to drink a health potion and hit the wrong key and wielded my wand… There was like 12 creatures on me at the time including the Sentinel… (The Sentinel was at 35% health and I was going to take her down… it was a war of attrition and I was winning) at least until I wielded my wand… of course I panicked and then died….but no biggie… At least I knew I could hang. I burned my “V” and returned to kill the thing and then loot my bod and ta duh! then I would be done… Here is my first lesson (I already knew this but…) I came back buffed “V” free and started in on the Sentinel again… this time got her to 30% health… and ran out of stamina potions… well we all know what happen to a melee when that happens… yep another lifestone portal swirly.. So rinse and repeat… this time stocked up on stam potions ready to kill this bad boy (uhhh girl I think)… So I was going to town and got her to 25%... now mind you I am taking a lot of damage fighting this thing… always 10-12 olthio picking and spitting on me plus the Sentinel that actually hits me… my stam is and down… my health starts to go and I hit my hotkey to drink a health potion and guess what… ah you guessed… no more health potions… another LS swirly for me… keep in mind I was not having any huge problem in this place… I pretty much always felt like I was in control… and I died 3 times… The fourth time was the charm… also did I mention that the Sentinel has crazy health and takes forever to kill… probably like 20-30 minutes… (So it took me roughly 2 hours to get that thing killed total time) I looted the Olthio abdomen… (Note: it dropped 3 and I could pickup all 3), which is cool because they can be dropped or given… so I have some backups…so after I killed the Sentinel cleared the spawn that was on me and looted her… I began to loot my bodies… well I got most of my stuff but… there is a quick timer on the Sentinel respawn and I did not completely get all the stuff off my bodies… oh well… So the lesson here is… be prepared… Lots of health and stam potions is a good thing… (If I had not hit the wrong key I would have gotten through it on the first try…oh well)….
The Shield of Perfect Light is really not too much of quest at all. You have to flag for Asheron Island (Going into any of the Matron Hives flags you…you do not have to complete hive just go in) and then go to Asheron Island and talk to “Asheron” (so says the write up) This is however incorrect (or not current). I have seen this quest called the scavenger quest and that is accurate…You turn in motes/shards or derivatives of those materials… the write up is a little vague on steps… but I think all you need to do is talk to Asheron’s Servant grab the “Mote and Crystal needed for the Golem Construction” note from the table across the room (this is up in the tower) and then give Asheron’s Servant the materials 200 points worth gets you XP, a shield and a pack doll… I was confused by the write up reference talking to Asheron… Asheron is not there… I did travel to the inner sanctum (I am not sure if you need to do this to do the quest) by the way there are no monsters to fight… just give the servant 200 points of material and that is it… I have given like 60 so far… so I will keep you posted… (No Shield for me yet)
I spent the balance of my time killing stuff on Viss… I occasionally died but can hang pretty good… (I do need I lightning sword for the dang Niffis though)… I am now LS’d on the Dark Isle and LS tied to Holt as I always seem to be going to Holt since it is like a mini hub... I did decide to try my hand at hunting the Dark Isle again… I died again but am starting to figure out how to fight things there… I was able to kill a Rushck Chieftain and Black Coral Viceroy but man that was a lot of work… Maybe a Paradox Olthio Sword would help with the Golems and perhaps a replica Bloodscorch would help against the Ruschk… and adding the Mukkir Slayer on a sword would help against the Mukkir…. So probably even more sword specialization is required… I am able to land Creature debuffs but not Life debuffs… and adding points to my Life magic is not on the board at the moment… my strategy is basically bump and run… it is annoying that when the Boss creature spawns they spawn a minion… and if you drag the Boss away from the minion they can and do respawn… So, right now xp wise it is quicker and easier for me to hunt on Viss… but I am probably close to being able to hang on DI as I was able to solo a couple of creatures... but not quite there yet…
This weekend is 25% bonus on XP and rares (not sure what rares part means) guessing a better chance to get rares… I will be playing in the evenings… and will turn in all muled trophies on Saturday to maximize XP… (hopefully it counts on all XP)
Guess that is about it…cya in game… _________________ S n S Level 172+

This will be a brief update… I only played for about 30 minutes last night…
I am hoarding my trophies at the moment for the 25% bonus XP this weekend…(I am hoping that it applies to trophy items…) When I guesstimate how much XP I think I can generate this weekend it really is not a huge bump… (I pretty much have real life plans all weekend) Those that can be dedicated to play could really benefit though. I am hoping to generate 500,000,000 in XP so a bonus of 125,000,000… That would move me up 2 levels and to be honest I cannot remember what my level is a the moment 165 or 166, I think. I will try and run Bone Cruncher tonight if the wife permits… also not sure when the weekend starts (from Turbine perspective Friday night or Saturday and Sunday only) Hopefully it starts tonight as I am bursting at the seams with stuff… I need to do some serious house cleaning on all my chars and I need to get augs for death items so I can stop carrying death items…(or as many)
-Bit of a ramble here-
Ok I think I am going to turn one of my guys into a tinker… I have a dagger char (Old Skewl) with base 100 Focus, Coord and Endurance… which means he is good for magic and armor tinkering but not weapon… but I want armor and weapon tinkering so I am thinking I will begin the process of moving from Coord to Strength… (That should be a beating…) I think that is at the Forgetfulness Temple… and I think there is a max you can reallocate and a timer… (I guess I will research that when I get the chance…) He is level 70 or so but I have about 20 Stone trophies on him so I should be able to get his skill up pretty quick and keep feeding him trophies… I will not probably use him for stuff I care about… but only to rend weapons that are marginal but might be of use to others… I currently have a pack of lvl 400 swords that could be rended…if he succeeds on 1 in 10, I would be happy… As I am typing this it occurred to me perhaps I will have two tinkers my UA guy (Hail No) and my Dagger Guy that way they are still both playable. UA as weapon tinker 100 Strength, 70, Endurance, 30 Quickness, 100 Focus Then their would be no changes need for the Dagger Dude.
-End ramble-
As for last night… Chu was on and she gave me a Shield of Perfect Light… (I will use until I can get my own) I did a quick experiment to see if the Magic Absorbing has an impact. I went to Viss and it does indeed seem to help with war spells… I let a Golem just shoot at me for like 6-8 shots most did 13-15 points of damage… one did 33 points… although subjective I would say it did reduce the damage I took from direct war spells… however it does not help against vuls and drains but I knew that before I got it… I ran mini’s and hunted Viss for a bit and that was about all….
So to sum up my in game plans for this weekend… Bone Cruncher Fri night(maybe) and Hunt Viss as time permits this weekend, Mini’s and turn in all my trophies… I might make a run through the Blighted Moarsmen Dungeons for trophies… my whole plan is predicated on xp for Trophies so if that is not the case then I might not be on too much this weekend…
Hopefully cya in game :-) _________________ S n S Level 172+
(Sword and Staff)
…and the answer is NO on the trophies being +25% xp this past weekend... however I did probably earn over a 1.5 billion xp with pretty limited playing time… S n S is now level 168 and his buffed health is 320, so time to change gears… I spoke with Chu who is going to walk me through Bellas later this week so I can get my first augmentation… I have decided to work on death items augmentations initially, because I keep dropping stuff even with death items that I do not want to lose… I figured I can do 2 augmentations before I leave … which will leave me one more when I get back (for the death items) of course there are many more I would love to have but those will have to wait till next year… Just these 2 augs will cost me 4 billion xp :-( As I mentioned previously I also need to find a rended lightning sword asap… (it is the only element sword I do not have….)
Ran the Mukkir Slayer quest with the clan, I think we did it Saturday (this weekend is a blur)… WS led, it went pretty smooth but that quest is pretty elaborate… I think everyone got it except Straymut who had to leave for work… I do not think I would want to do that one again… I was also lagging terribly… As embarrassing as this is to admit… I had been thinking that the issues was the server migration…(ummm….not so much… I think the problem was my wireless antenna had been moved and was giving me a weak signal…since I have moved it back the signal has improved and the lag has for the most part disappeared… so my bad) I put the Mukkir Slayer on a pretty tight pierce rend sword I have… amazingly I have yet to run across a Mukkir on DI to try it on…
Speaking of DI, I have figured out how to kill the Black Coral Golems on DI so I am getting some trophies there… I also was able to kill some Ruschks as well… but Viss is still better xp… (especially this weekend) every kill was about 1 million xp… but I did pull 5 or so mana shards off of DI creatures and a couple of decent major items as well…so I guess it just depends on what my priorities are… (right now they are XP)… I was not too disciplined about running minis this weekend and that is free XP… it equals roughly 100 million for 20 minutes of my time really a great thing to be able to do daily…(also depends on having ivory) I will try and run them daily from now until I leave…
I also ran Blackmire 4 (with the clan….when I say I ran, I mean I followed) was thinking there was xp to be had on that but if I got any XP I missed the message… I was hoping to get some ancient leggings but did not… oh well... the Blackmire quests confused me just because there are so many options in the trophy room … I did get seriously debuffed as that is part of the quest… I picked up some bracelet that lowers my health but raises my magic skills slightly… I guess I can use it… I was thinking I could get a trophy and a fellow buff scroll but was wrong so no fellow scroll for me… I still have the ancient armor set Chu gave me and I love that armor but I was dropping it on Viss and standing at a lifestone naked is never a good thing (I really hoped to get a backup pair of leggings on that quest…maybe next time)… I am currently running around in my Olthio Armor (which is kind of lame but at least it does not drop when I die…)
I am still thinking on the tink thing… as I reread my post from last week I confused myself… regardless I will work to make one of my guys a weapons tink so I can just try and rend all this crap I keep finding so maybe it will have value to someone… as it is I am collecting skill 400 weapons and then muling them, and I am running out of room… This of course begs the salvage question… I guess I need to puts some points into salvage too.
Not sure how much I will be on this week… maybe a little tonight maybe Thursday and Friday and this weekend some…
Hopefully I will cya in game… _________________ S n S Level 172+

Well I finally got a blank augmentation gem… Let me go ahead and capture the date and time, 4-9 at roughly 930pm… (now I have a reference) This means I can get another 5-1 at 930pm. I am unfortunately gone for a couple of weeks in late April (Uncle Sam has requested my presence)… as a matter of fact I will not be able to actually get my next aug until around the 3rd or 4th of May because of my schedule :-(
Now I just need to accumulate enough xp to use (the one I just got)… I have roughly 700 million but need 2 billion for the “Grasp of the Miser” death item aug… maybe by the end of the weekend if I get enough playing time I can get 2 billion but I doubt it… I think I will be more like 1.25 to 1.5 billion by Sunday.. which puts me into next week… I would like to thank Chu for her help on showing me the ropes on Bellas… Honestly I think I could possibly solo'd that quest… not a ton of things to kill and I got the kill on Bellas which surprised me and I think Chu… I was hitting him for 300-650 or so with every swing and that was using my normal slash sword (he was vul'd with a ruin weapon)… I did not take any crazy damage… Since all my points will be going into augs for the balance of my time in game over the next couple of months my abilities will be pretty unchanged… (and I guess that is the bad thing about augs… I hopefully will get all the death item augs before I leave… and then whe a return need to relearn the game and continue to work on more augs)
I was hoping Poo would be on last night so I could get some tinks done, but I did not see her… hopefully she has not forgotten and that the rare she had going is still good… I will jump on for mini’s tonight and hopefully she will be on then…
I am going to have to start planning a big purge and muling party… Since I will be gone for about a year I will plan to move all my critical gear on to my sub characters and plan to lose my house which to be honest is just full of somebody else’s crap anyway…(it is good stuff furniture etc…and trophies) when I get back I will probably try and get a villa and clean it out and make it my own…
If anyone has an extra Relic Aldrussa <sp> Helm let me know… I need one to complete my armor set… I will probably ask in game tonight… I also have a question on factions. I understand most if not all in the group are Celestial Hand… is there an advantage of one faction over the other? And is there a clan restriction on the faction we can join? (just curious) I flagged for Celestial Hand (the initial quest) probably going to go back and do the other 2 factions for the xp… I want to try the Graveyard again but have been waiting to get my sword tinked up… and put undead slayer on it to see if that helps…
Anyway… I guess this is a pretty lame update but oh well few or no one reads this stuff anyways… so you get what you get and don’t throw a fit…

I started to write an update Monday (I basically finished it) but my system got a security patch and rebooted when I stepped away and I lost it
This update will be brief S n S is level 170 I have about 1.3 billion squirreled away for my augmentation (Clutch of Miser) I went on the Paradox Olthio Weapon quest this past Saturday It went badly I died twice and did not get a weapon because I did not make it back in time after my 2nd death to get a trophy was going to recover my bodies and there was a re-spawn, so no body recoveries for me :-( Berek led and did a good job but we had a bad mix for the group (I think) melee heavy and not enough healers anyway I will know better next time Thanks to Berek for leading he will probably not be eager to run again anytime soon as he felt it went badly as well
I was able to play some last night Hunted Viss and DI and did pretty good I am getting better about killing things on DI I seem to have the best luck with the Corals and Ruschks Just need to pull and kill one by one can handle two golems at one time if they do not critical hit me the Ruschk are 1 at a time only
I still have not gotten my 420 sword twinked I have been trying to get with Poo but I guess I will go with a plan B as we do not seem to be able to hook up in game
I have a big challenge to try and get to 2 Billion XP before I leave.. I need 700 million in basically 3 nights of limited playing time I think the WS is running Bone Crunch tonight and I think that is some decent xp. I have some Viss trophies to turn in and I can run minis but it will be tough I would really like to get that knocked out before I leave it actually might be time or close to it to get another jaw I guess if I do not finish up I will work on it when I get back. I will try and run Bellas when I get back as well might take Monday the 4th off and get some play time in then if I am up to it
-BONUS COVERAGE-
Some double dipping here I wrote the above yesterday but I could not access the DOJ Board because of some weird DSN error so here is an update on last night I went on Bone Cruncher although it took way too long to get started was definitely a good xp pay out for me 100+ Million for the quest and about the same for turning in 2 trophies that really helped put a dent in my xp goal I completed minis, hunted Viss and DI some I now need roughly 200 Million to reach my 2 Billion XP goal I will try to be on tonight at the very least to run minis. Basically as long as I can run minis today and tomorrow I will reach my 2 billion before I leave and be able to get my aug
Black Corals are definitely my target of opportunity on DI but it is still a little slow going I am trying to reach my 1st 100 trophies there as well that will not happen till I get back (Oh and since I have Mukkir Slayer on my best pierce sword I tried to kill someummm did ok until the boss spawnedHe hit hard ouchI did the Holy Grail and ran away I do that a lot on DI) so not sure how much Mukkir Slayer is helping I will try them again when I get back S n S is now level 171 _________________ S n S Level 172+

Update for last night , So, I got my Clutch of Miser augment Sweet! Wow saving up 2 Billion Xp was a pain in the butt and I have to do it 2+ more times but it will be very nice not to lose items on death S n S is now level 172 :-) I also hunted DI for awhile still working on those first 100 trophies(It is going to take awhile)
I will not be on until the 2nd-4th or so of May
So cya then _________________ S n S Level 172+

I have been out of town serving my country and now I am back Lost 12 pounds and strained my right knee but by God now I am better prepared to defend my nation I only have about a month before I am gone for 10-12 months, so enjoy these last few updates before I leave
I solod Bellas the other night He was easy I know Chu said he hits hard but this was my second time through and he did not hit me hard at all I was also able to debuff him First time I killed him he said Thank you this time he said Sleep anyway I now have my 2nd augmentation gem and have saved up 1.4 billion So a couple of more days and I should end up with my second clutch of miser aug sweet If my schedule holds true I think I will have all 3 c of ms before I leave and death will no longer be an issue I do not think I will get the perma buff on death aug before I leave I need to put pen to paper to see if I have enough days (It would be nice to get that one knocked out) Just did it and I do not :-(
I am starting to organize my stuff as well so I can mule it on characters so I can let my house go I will try and have writs and items available so I can get a new house or Villa when I return
I am trying to get my armor setup for when I get my death item augs are complete. I think I am getting close on getting a piece of Alderussa Relic Armor from turning in trophies but odds are slim I will get the helm I need.
I have been hunting Viss and DI and getting pretty good production and of course doing minis I think tonight is Bonecrunch but I will likely not be able to go (I would really like some of that XP) Hopefully I can generate a couple of hundred million tonight and have the aug completed by Friday I should actually have the xp saved in advance for the next aug I also would like to put some xp into arcane lore so I can qualify for a couple of items I have muled

Not too much to talk about The 2nd Clutch of Miser Aug has been awesome. I am losing no items at the moment. I guess they made Matron in Col easier as I have been with several groups killing her the last couple of nights I have been on That is pretty good XP if I run my other characters through each Matron trophy is worth 54 million xp so it is roughly 216 million for every day I run it and get my mules through
Been hunting Viss and DI and dying some I am tempted to get the no drop buffs on death next since I am losing no items with my current augs but I know at some point I will end up losing more than 10 items and will need that last Clutch of Miser aug I have a few days to think about this before I can get another aug
Good news! I discovered a Weapon Tink rare and am trying to work with Han / Cleverace to get some weapons tinked on Wednesday 5/13. I have 6 tinks on my 420 and have 3 to go plus a full proof slash salvage that sword will be pretty good if it survives all the tinks I will also try and get my Fire Sword tinked as well and finally get a lightning sword done If I can get that done I will be really happy I need some more granite, iron and velvet for my swords to be tinked though
I need to work on getting my arcane lore up a lot to qualify for some really good items I have stored I have not been putting any points into anything except augs so, I have really not improved much over the last 3-4 levels I will work to get to 2 billion for the final C of M aug and then start putting points back into my skills Increasing my arcane will result in better numbers as I have several items that have incantations on them that should impact my base skills Incantation Armor Self, Incantation Magic Resist Self etc my 420 sword has epic Quickness as well I will probably go ahead an put Undead Slayer on my 420 and see what that does in the graveyard I know fire is better but my 420 will have much better stats
I guess that is about it cya in game... _________________ S n S Level 172+

Ok Thanks to Han aka Cleverace for tinking my 420 sword It seems to work pretty good I did put undead slayer on it just because is the highest damage sword I have and slash works against at least half the creatures in the Grave Yard I have been using the Alderusa Relic Armor but I am not sure it works that good I seem to be taking much more damage (unless it is baned) I hate casting banes every hour That was a big advantage to the Greater Olthio Armor oh well I still have not turned in 100 trophies on DI yet to get a piece of armor and I guess I have a 1 in 5 chance of actually getting a helm which is what I need I am thinking that I might try and cobble a set of Olthio armor together from Mana Forge chests, that way I could get a great many higher level spells
***Rant Alert*** So I pulled an Olthio Shield from a chest AL 393 with Impen VI on it a decent shield but it is has Major Bow Mastery Self on it is that just dumb or what. What a waste.
I also finally made a Shadowfire Perfect Isperian Sword which is cool and really hurts the low level Shadows One hitting Umbris and the like but I can barely hit the Shadows on DI although it does hit pretty hard when I connect
Thanks to Bad Magic for leading Paradox Olthio QuestGot my Olthio Paradox Sword :-) which is cool but does not do as much damage as I thought it should when I attack things other than Olthio (I guess that stands to reason) I might try and run that again at some point and get a staff instead for comparison for use on Golems and to do Bludge damage As usual the later it gets the more tired I get I died trying to get to place where you actually get the Paradox Weapons I was not the only one so that made me feel a little better.
Went on the Dark Bobo quest last night it went smooth WS was kind and ran a group to get the Alphus <sp> recall spell When I clicked Bobo I was given a paw right away because I had already been flagged but had been wearing a Tusker Helm and got the Death portal and fell a 1000 feet into a cage (last time that is ) I was like hey I got the paw was not paying 100% attention and saw a message ok into the portal cool and I went into the portal. Duh the exit portal stupid so as WS always is he was kind and ran me through again, so I could finally get the scroll Sometimes I am an in game idiot (It might be sensory overloadwife, tv, game all going at the same time or the late hour) not sure. Long story short I have recall now which is convenient
I suspect I will be on some the remainder of the week but not a ton I still need to raise my arcane and continue hording points for the final Clutch of Miser aug too bad I am off to war in a few weeksI would really like to keep working on my augs and see how much better I could make S n S. I guess it will have to wait I will try and give an update on S n S stats in a future post... (Like I said in a previous post, they have not moved much because I have been putting most points into Augs...)
