Below you will find names of Waste Monsters, and other various threats along with their descriptions...if there is any!
Wraiths~White or gray wisps of smoke that will eat through anything organic they are basically formless. (*Note: Description of Wraiths have varied, as new types have been described.)
Wild Dragons~Dragons born of the wild and not joined to humans. They are rogues and a potential danger to humans.
Wyverns~Smaller then dragons their bodies ranging in length of 20 to 40 feet with long thin tails that bushel into spikes at the tip. Their scales are normally a mix of dark greens, yellows, red and black. Their eyes are always red, while there head is shaped almost cobra like with a wide bream.
They are telepathic and humans who have telepathy can be subjected to control. If the human telepath is bond with a dragon he can break the control of the wyvern causing the wyvern a massive headache.
Recently it has been noted that Wyverns, can spit acid that can burn through almost anything. Though on flesh it seems to stop at the muscle. ((Note: For more information on Wyverns please visit this site...a picture of a Wyvern is also there: Shadow Wyverns ))
Night Stalkers~Vicious and vile creatures of the Wastelands. They have bodies like humans, covered in black fur, which enables them to blend into the night. Head is like a wolf's with teeth like a shark's. They are near sighted, but have an enhanced sense of smell. They hunt in packs and only at night, hunting for food...drawn by the smell of blood. Their arms are connected by a winged membrane, hands ending in three talon like claws. These claws have a poison sac at heir base...much like that of a scorpion's stinger. When injured by the talons of these creatures, it takes some time, but you will soon grow weak with sickness...vomiting will occur, a high fever...and death if not taken care of. So far, Anestheal can and will take away most of the pain, by numbing it...but an antidote will need to be made.
Their wings are not strong enough to allow them to fly, but with a good wind...they can glide. With no wind, they are pretty much grounded...though some will 'walk' awkwardly. The talons are sharp, and are used for piercing, slashing and rendering their victims. Always a female to rule, called the Matriarch...all females are somewhat intelligent, but all Night Stalkers are clever and daring like the wolf. Males are more beast-like, without much intelligence. When it is time for mating, males will fight each other, sometimes to the death, for the right to mate with the female.
Females have litters of 5-6, usually males are born...a female is born one in every ten litters, usually...although there have been a few times where females were born sooner than that. Females...although few as they are, are always larger than the males. Males are between six and seven feet tall, while females are between eight and nine feet, with the Matriarch standing a good eleven to twelve feet tall.
The male Night Stalkers can always sense when a female is in heat, just as they can sense a human female when having her monthly cycle. All males are linked through their minds to the females. The females are who issue the males orders, and the males follow through on them. Females do not engage in any of the attacks, but if one can find where a female is hidden, and attack her...it will draw the males from their killing spree, to protect their females.
Bandits~Humans that have a tendency to ambush others, rob them...and even kill them.
Mautchikuns~imagine a saber-tooth tiger, minus the huge teeth. With 18 inch steel hard quills running along it's spine. Progressively shorter quills farther down its' body. When it screams, it sounds like a gigantic Tasmanian Devil. Can kill a full grown Warhorse with one of its' paws. They are the same color as grass during the dry season. They are very dangerous. They also hunt in large packs, normally....but is not uncommon to find one or two hunting alone.
