EVERYONE MUST READ AND SIGN!!! · Quote All members and those thinking of joining this site must come here and read the site rules. All those who have decided to register, and join us....you will need to come here and be sure to sign the rules, once you've read them fully. Now on to the rules...Don't worry...there's not too many!!! Although, Ismene is part of DragonLands, it is a forum based site, which means that all posts are done on this board. Where as Dragonlands is an email based roleplay, which means all posts are done by emails. If you check out the advertising topic, you'll find that I have their link there as well as other places on this board. Like for instance, if you click on the word DragonLands, it will take you to the Dragon Lands main site. Site Rules 1.) Site Rating~First and foremost...this site's rating. All though it says MA for mature adult, the age limit is sixteen and up. The reason for this rating is mainly due to the mating flights between dragons and the effects it may have on the riders of the dragons involved. Now....I'm not saying that everyone will go into explicit detail of what actually happens between the dragons, and later between the two riders involved, but at some point, a writer may end up writing something that may be inappropriate for those under the age of sixteen. If your character and/or dragon is young, then I don't want to see posts from that writer and another writer that involves inappropriate things. Although, I like to see detail in a writer's post, but when it comes to the mating flights and a sexual nature...try using words that could give the reader an idea of what the characters are doing, without actually saying what they are actually doing. Understand? Good! Now let's go on...shall we? 2.) Writing/Spellchecker~Proper writing etiquette must be used. All posts must be longer than five lines, unless otherwise stated. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please use a Spell Checker....(*Note: There's one located at the bottom, next to the submit button...it's there for anyone who needs it.) Using a Spell Checker makes your posts easier for others to read and understand...even I use it...there's no harm in using one. 3.) Registering/Absences~Please do not register and then never come back. It's rude and inconsiderate. If you plan to be away for an extended period of time, please post in the Announcements area. (*Note: Be sure to list all characters you write for, when posting an "Away Announcement". So if you have more than one character, be sure you either make a post from each character's account or make one post and state all characters that you write for.) This is so others know that you haven't just left a roleplay topic high and dry and left other writers hanging, wondering about you. 4.) Roleplay~When in a roleplay and you decide for some reason you want your character out of it, or if you plan to be away for an extended period of time, please try to roleplay your character leaving/exiting the roleplay. Example: Kal decided it was time to make his exit. As he turned to the others, who seemed to pay him no mind, he bid them farewell. He then turned back toward the door, and hurried through it, before anyone could stop him, making his way out to the Flight Grounds. (end example) 5.) Godmoding~NO GODMODING! Godmoding is the controlling of what another writer's character says or does. The only way this rule is overlooked is when the person gets explicit permission from the writer of the character that he/she plans to control and I...as owner of this sight must be notified by both writers. In these cases....it is when the writer of one character plans to be away and gives the writer of another character permission to write for them...but I must be notified by both writers. Characters may for example walk up to another character and maybe slap them, kiss them or what ever...(no killing them) but writers cannot write how that other writer's character will react to being slapped, kissed, or whatever.NO EXCEPTIONS! 6.) Attacks~No personal attacks on another writer. If it is part of a roleplay, then make sure it is kept in roleplay. Any problems you have with the writer of another character, please atleast pm them, as well as pming one of the admins with a copy of what you sent to the writer of the other character. Also, the writer receiving the pm from another writer, would also need to forward that pm they received from them to one of the admins. This way, there will be no complications and things will be taken care of accordingly. 7.) O.O.C.'s~Please keep all OOC's out of actual roleplays. We have a place for OOC's, please take them to the O.O.C. section or put them in the 'Shout Box' or even in pm's. 8.) Advertising~You may advertise on my site, but I ask that you be registered on my site first before advertising another site. All sites being advertised can have any rating up to MA (mature adult) but anything higher than MA rating will be deleted, and the one who advertised it will get a warning by a pm. NO EXCEPTIONS! 9.) Avatars/Siggies: I ask that all members choose an avatar that looks like your character, then choose a picture to put in your siggy that looks like your dragon (if you're a dragonrider) or if your character has a pet (like a wolf or even a monkey) be sure a picture of that animal is in your siggy. This is so others can actually see what your character, dragon or pet looks like. And of course, give credit where it is due. Which means, any pic used as your avatar or in your siggy, I want to see a credit line, giving credit to the artist. NO EXCEPTIONS! ((*Note: To be sure your siggies are enabled, go to your profile and scroll down and choose the option to always attach your siggy, this ensures that your siggy will be in your posts. Also, when writing a post, before clicking on submit, check to make sure the box "Attack signature" is checked. If it is not, be sure to put a check in the white box beside it.)) 10.) Bios~All bios must be approved by me....as I am sole owner of this site, unless otherwise stated. When your bio is approved, it will be moved to the 'Approved' section and those approved will get a personal pm from me to welcome you. You cannot roleplay in any topic until your bio is approved by me and you get your pm. 11.) Multiple Characters~We do allow multiple characters, however, you must be able to handle all of them, as well as receiving permission from all the admins. If I find a writer making multiple characters, then neglecting any of them, I will personally give that writer a warning, via pm. If it continues, that member will receive another pm from me, asking for them to choose which character(s) they plan to do the most with, and which they want deleted. If they do not choose, I will choose for them. It has come to my attention that there are some who are making multiple accounts/characters without permission of the admins...your main account/character will be deleted and banned from the site. NO EXCEPTIONS! Understood? Good! 12.) What to do?~HAVE FUN! ((*Note: These rules are subject to change at anytime, by me, so be sure you check back from time to time!)) *Please post below, sign with your character name, saying that you understand these rules and will abide by them! The weapon usually gets very hot on warm days giving it the name Blazing Edge or Blazed. The other scimitar is lighet and reaches the color of a silverish blue. The blade seems to glow at times when light hits it at a certain way and might shine in the dark if it has been out in the daylight for enought time in the day light giving it the name Ceror which translates to a combination of the word light and ice. Both Scimitars are also a centimetar wider then normal scimitars.
