Day 1
Afternoon
Kaiari made her way back to the Searchling Barracks, then sat just outside them...watching as the dragons came in or left. She soon lost herself in thought...as the scene before her, seemed to go unfocused.
She just couldn't believe she was actually here, and as she thought she turned her head toward the Hatching Caverns...wishing she was brave enough to sneak in there alone and take a small peak at the eggs. The thought intrigued her as she imagined the queen inside there, caring for her eggs...one of which could hold the very hatchling that could be hers one day.
She gave a sigh...knowing she'd never go inside there alone. She knew how possessive Queens were over their eggs...but still the urge to take a small peak intrigued her...tugging at her very consciousness.

Day 1
Afternoon
Gawyn had just finished putting his belongings in the right places, and decided it was a perfect time to take a breather. He was still awed that he'd been chosen to be a searchling. He was still walking around in a rather dazed state of mind.
Deciding to take a walk and explore a bit, the boy headed toward the cave entrance. As he looked up from the relatively smooth rocky floor, he noticed a shape silouetted against the sun. Coming closer, he realized it was Kaiari sitting there.
Walking up to her, he thought she looked rather pensive, and so asked, "Do you mind if I join you here, Lady Kaiari?"

Afternoon
Kaiari had been suddenly brought out of her thoughts, that she had been so deeply in...by another's voice. She hadn't even noticed someone had joined her, until hearing his voice.
She looked up the find Gawyn, one of the other candidates.
"Hello...no I don't mind! I was just thinking about some things!" she replied with a smile, as she glance toward the Hatching Cavern, for a moment before looking back.
"Still a bit surprised to be here? I am as well...never thought that my life would start over, within a Warren. How about you?" she asked him.

Afternoon
Gawyn took a seat by the young lady. He remembered how she had seemed to lean away from him in the Dining Hall, and hoped she wouldn't now.
"Yeah, I'm still a bit overwhelmed. It's not everyday you're told you're to be a searchling," the young man replied.
"No, I thought I'd be land bound for the rest of my life," he answered.

Afternoon
As he sat next to her, her first instinction was to lean, or slide over on the bench away from him, due to her warm temperature....but she didn't...mainly because there was no more room to move over away from him.
Her body stiffened slightly at the though of what he thought of the heat radiating from her....but she tried pushing that thought aside and not think on it...she needed to get through this...and he didn't seem to mind...atleast he's said nothing on the heated atmosphere around her.
"I agree...thought I'd be landbound as well with...." she stopped as her cheeks slightly pinkened under her light golden tan. She couldn't bring herself to say what exactly her ability was, due to not having a word for her ability...the Nomads believed her to be touched by the god of fire, Gamal...she had even come to believe this as well...just difficult to put a name to her ability. The only way would to either explain the best she could or demonstrate her ability...she hoped the latter would be saved for a later date...and an explanation would do...once she overcame her fear of what others thought.

Lucio was heading back to the Barracks when he spotted Kai and Gawyn sitting outside. Smiling as he approached more Kai then Gawyn, Lucio waved with his right hand. “Hey guys.” He then went and leaned against on of the rock walls. He didn’t need to sit down and he could tell there was no more room where Kai and Gawyn were.
Looking out toward the sky he began to dream of the day he would take to the sky be it on a practice dragon or his very own. Wondering where his dragon was he sighed. “So have you seen your dragons yet?” He was curious as he had been hearing some people speak about a clutch of eggs that might have dragons for the new group of searchlings that included himself.

Afternoon
Kaiari sat next to Gawyn, waiting for him to respond, when she noticed Lucio walking over to them, to her more so, then Gawyn. As he stood, leaning against the stone wall, he was quite close to her...putting her between the two young men.
As he spoke, she was looking up at him from the bench. "Ah...no! No one's supposed to be allowed in there until time for hatching." she said as she turned to look toward the Hatching Cavern, wanting so much to sneak in there and take a peek, but she would never go in there alone...not with the queen in there standing guard over the eggs.

Afternoon
As the searchling sat beside Kaiari, he couldn't help but notice how she once again seemed to go a bit rigid, and the fact that there was an unnatural warmth hitting his arm, but he passed those thoughts off with the logic that the young lady probably didn't like to be touched and that maybe her average temperature was warmer than his, which was plausible.
He listened as she trailed off, and was about to say something to the effect of her not being obligated to tell him, but he stopped before he got a chance to start when Lucio came up to them...well, came up to Kallara would probably be a more accurate statement.
"Hello, Lucio. No, I haven't," Gawyn answered.

Nodding at Gawyn and smiling at Kai, Lucio moved from the wall to sit on the ground with his legs crossed and yet his back was still straight as if he was still leaning back on the rock wall. He wasn’t a man of many words but he was able to say what he wanted to say when he needed to say something.
“What are you hoping for? A female or a drake?” He knew no one could really chose their hatchling from what he had read in a book at the Warren’s library but one could hope for one over the other just like guys could hope for one gender over another when it came to their child.

Kaiari turned to watch the young man move to sit on the ground, crossing his legs as he did. She wondered for a moment how he was able to keep his back so straight without leaning against something...even she wasn't able to do that.
At his question, she shook her head. "Doesn't matter really...I'd like a female...but as long as he or she are healthy and is mine...I will be happy." she replied.

Gawyn watched as Lucio sat on the ground. Gawyn wasn't sure how a rider came to be with his/her rider, so he couldn't really say what he expected.
"Well, there would be advantages to both, wouldn't there? I mean if I were to get a female, that could be good because she could help explain the confusing ways of women. If I get a male, then I've got at the very least, a best friend who is just as bewildered when it comes to girls as I am."

Kaiari turned to Gawyn as he spoke. She gave a small laugh at his explanation for wanting a female. "Well...one reason you males are so in the dark about females is because you never ask questions...you know we are not all the same...and some of us would answer any questions you put to them, with honesty." she said softly, as she glanced at Lucio for a moment, then back at Gawyn.

Lucio chuckled at Gawyn’s reasoning and then smirks at Kai. “Really so if we were to ask why do girls play games with a guy’s affections you would be able to enlighten us as to why?”
He gave Gawyn a glance and then looked back to Kai. “So what’s on your mind dear Kai.”

Kaiari turned back to Lucio, as he spoke...she gave a slight confused look at his question, "Well...I would be able to enlighten you as to why that is...if I knew the answer to that...but seeing as I am not one of those type of girls...I do not know the answer to that. But if I did...then yes I would tell you and any who would ask." she replied.
Kaiari watched as Lucio glanced at Gawyn, then asked her what was on her mind, she gave a smile. "Many things are on my mind..." she said as she looked toward the Hatching Cavern for a moment. "One is that I'm curious as to seeing what those dragon eggs look like...I've never actually seen an egg...and had thought about sneeking in there...but do not want to go alone...either of you care to go with me?" she asked them with a smile as she looked from Lucio to Gawyn.

Lucio grinned, and adventure with Kai. Well he thought he could handle that so he stood and looked Kai in her eyes. “I’ll go with you. So what do you think we’ll need? Maybe we can go after the Warren is asleep. He looked out toward the sky where the sun was starting to set. “You up for that?” He grinned mischievously as he gave his wrapped arm a flew and then let it fall back down beside his side.

Kaiari turned to look at Lucio as he spoke, looking into her eyes. She gave a nod, "I'm up for anytime..." she said as she looked to Gawyn, still waiting on his answer on whether he was up for a bit of exploring the Hatching Cavern too.
She then looked back at Lucio, gave a smile. "What do you think it will be like...the hatching I mean?" she asked them...wondering if either of them have actually seen a dragon hatching.

Kaiari quickly turned her head to Gawyn as he spoke. Giving him a puzzled look. "I asked both of you didn't I? So you wouldn't be intering with anything!" she replied to him, wondering why he was so ready to give up the chance of sneaking into the Hatching Cavern with them, to see the eggs.
She turned to look at Lucio for a moment, then back at Gawyn, awaiting his answer.

Lucio crossed his arms as he looked to his barrack mate so to speak. He sighed. “Come on mate it’ll be fun besides I thought most males around here were adventrous? Don’t you want to see the eggs before they hatch? Maybe try to guess which one might be you dragon sleeping behidn the shell?” Hew was gettign anxious and was ready to go.

Kaiar turned to look at Lucio, then back at Gawyn...she then made the dicision for him. "It's settled then...you're coming along!" she said with a small laugh.
She then stood rather quickly, as if she could hardly wait, she then strated to reach out for both young mens wirsts...as if to 'drag' them along...but her hands stopped short of both men...before touching either of them, and quickly dropped her hands to her sides.
"Ready? 'Cause I can hardly wait!" she asked them with a smile, as she waited for them, she moved slightly away from them, turning back to wait on them.

Ok this thread is being closed as is all others...with the exception of the one in my office, the one in the lake and the one at the Stables! This is due to the fact that a time jump is about to take place...which means we will jump forward in time to the day of the hatching. So all posts started after the hatching post has been started, will be just that. Searchlings will then be joined to their new dragons...so all others will post as if they have their dragons or rather assume that. Those three threads that will stay open for the time being will remain as is...no one will assume the Searchlings have their dragons yet...it will be as if the Time Jump never affected those threads.
