Day 1
Sylvia felt light on her feet as she almost skipped across the warren from the queenriders' apartments where she was sure her mother was still standing staring at her back. But Sylvia was not about to turn around to look.
No. There was no turning back now!
She was a searchling, and she would be living with other searchlings... and if they didn't know who her mother was, the better for it.
It was time she made her own way in the warren.
She smiled and waved at some others who were sitting outside the barracks, but didn't stop to introduce herself. Not yet. There would be time for that once she'd found a bed and unpacked.
She entered the woman's half of the barracks and made her way to an empty sleeping area. She dropped the bag on the bed and looked around her. This would be her home now. At least until the eggs hatched.
She was sure her dragon was waiting for her among the clutch of eggs on the sands. It just had to be.

Ok this thread is being closed as is all others...with the exception of the one in my office, the one in the lake and the one at the Stables! This is due to the fact that a time jump is about to take place...which means we will jump forward in time to the day of the hatching. So all posts started after the hatching post has been started, will be just that. Searchlings will then be joined to their new dragons...so all others will post as if they have their dragons or rather assume that. Those three threads that will stay open for the time being will remain as is...no one will assume the Searchlings have their dragons yet...it will be as if the Time Jump never affected those threads.
