Hi, I wanted to introduce myself to any new members that have found this fabulous forum & hope that you will feel comfortable enough to ask your questions & know that we are all here to help & offer our advice & share our own experiences.....

I found Darcie (through another moderator - Kristina B - here on the forum) when this forum was in it's infancy stages.  My son, Sam (who was 5 months at the time) had gone from a great sleeper to an inconsistent, unpredictable sleeper.  I had done a ton of reading & was trying SO hard to get Sam into a routine .... and around the 4-5 month mark, it all came crumbling down.  His naps were a mess & his nightime sleep was becoming worse & worse.  Darcie gave me a few simple tips ...and within a few weeks, Sam's sleep was back on track.  Darcie backed up my reading of Dr Weissbluth's book (Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby) & told me that perhaps Sam was ready to drop his 3rd nap & just get ready for bed at 5pm.  Well, despite the strange social reactions (of even my husband), I started to put Sam to bed at the first signs of tiredness in the late afternoon & it worked .... soon after, our son was sleeping through the night & his naps followed right along.  As Sam grew older, different sleep issues came about & the EST forum was the first place I came to for advice .... and it still is  Wink

Darcie & EST have been a wonderful find ... and as this forum has grown, I have found a group of incredible woman who are some of the most beautiful people I have ever encountered.   So, not only did I learn to help my baby sleep better, but I met some great "friends".

I am a stay at home mom, living in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts - USA.  Sam is our only child & is 3.5 years old.  He is a happy, well-adjusted & well-rested child.  I know that so much of this is a result of EST ... it has helped me help him get the rest that he needs, as well as be a better parent & focus on what he needs & not make him try to fit into some social mold .... I cannot thank Darcie or this forum enough for all the support over the past few years & now I want to be able to share what I have learned with others that are struggling with naps, etc....
