Hi All,
I have recently joined facebook and started a group there for tired parents, and have discovered that it's a great way to network and spread the word about EST.
Expansion and networking is what we want, we want to inform people of the service that is available. Integrating folks from facebook is one way to do that, but at the same time, it can potentially present some privacy issues (ie. someone may have presented an issue with their MIL.. or spouse.. or whomever here on the forum, and somehow via FB's expansive properties, it gets back to that person).
I am looking for feedback from members as to how to address this, without interfering with our capacity here to vent our true feelings 'in the moment' and to have them accepted and understood as just passing issues that are being worked through and not intended to hurt anyone(which has historically been the climate around here ).
Looking forward to more thoughts.. _________________ Darcie French, BSW

GREAT point, Darcie!!! I love connecting with folks on Facebook, but some are indeed my family (namely, my one SIL) .... I was cautious at first about the whole thing, posting pics of Sam, etc.... but I feel it is a safe vehicle to communicate, as I do have control over who can see my stuff. However, we all know that I have said some harsh comments about my inlaws, even shared some stuff about my mom, etc.... which of course, I feel is important to who I am, but I obviously don't want that stuff out there for all to see ..... I know I have deleted some of my old posts here, but I want to be able to keep it real, you know? So, if there is a way to still keep this forum policed as to who can post or read the posts, regardless of facebook, etc... that would be fantastic. I know that in a perfect world, that may not be the case & perhaps I need to clean up some more of my posts here or at least take ownership of my comments if confronted _________________ Kris
