Recently I was at my associates, Matt and A.J.'s website, JASON'S LAIR, and saw their review of the film JASON X. They gave the film 1 out of 10 because they said the film was basically a copy of the film ALIENS. Though I would have been more inclined to compare it to ALIEN, the truth is I only see a minor resemblance. But I do know of a film that does bare an uncomfortable resemblance to JASON X.
That film is PROJECT METALBEAST. Now this 1994 film could be used as proof that JASON X is plagiarized. The film is about a soldier who gets the blood werewolf for the US government. The soldier then decides to inject himself with the blood because he wants the power of the werewolf. The soldier becomes a werewolf, kills, and is shot with a silver bullet. From here the film gets very familiar. The soldier is cryogenically frozen. Years later he is defrosted for an experiment in using metal skin for burn victims. The scientists take out the silver bullet and the werewolf is set free and goes on a killing spree in the secret underground base. But because the werewolf has had the metal skin transplants put on it, it soon becomes a metal skinned Uber werewolf.
Basically, you'd have actually rent the film to see how close it looks like JASON X. Hell, even the metal skinned werewolf bares a resemblance to Uber Jason. And, for you trivia fans, guess who played the metal skinned werewolf? None other than Kane Hodder.
So, rent the film and tells us if you agree....
