Hey F13 fans,
As you probably already know a loyal fan of my books, Cory Stevens, is working on a fan film based on my novel, Mother's Day. The film has already been shot and is right now in post production.
I know that both Cory and I would enjoy hearing your feedback on the film. You can check out the trailer and view the screenplay on my section dealing with the film on my MASK OF JASON website... Enjoy....

Hey F13 fans,

Unfortunately, the film has been delayed for release until spring of 2007. The reason is that Cory has some reshooting to correct some footage and he won't be able to shoot it until after the thaw, since the locations wouldn't match if he tried to reshoot now.
But feel assured that this film will be worth the wait....

Here is the press release I sent out the websites and magazines....

PRESS RELEASE

Freddy V.S. Jason V.S. Ash, dead....Freddy V.S. Jason V.S. Michael, killed....
The Platinum Dunes remake of Friday the 13th, currently only talk.....
The future of Friday the 13th looks grim....and the fans have nothing to look forward to..
But from the deep woods of New England comes a glimmer of light.....
A small rag tag group of young filmmakers have taken on the ambitious project of doing a film adaptation of one of the first original Friday the 13th novels to come out. That novel is the first of Eric Morse's Camp Crystal Lake novels, Mother's Day, Berkley Books 1994.

The story takes place after the events in the film JASON GOES TO HELL. Jason has been sent to hell. A hunter digs up Jason's hockey mask and puts it on. He is possessed by the evil of Jason and terrorizes a group of campers who have decided to camp at the site where Camp Crystal Lake once existed.

For Director/Producer Cory Stevens this has been a three year journey to translate Morse's young adult novel  onto the big screen. But it has been a labor of love for this young film student, who has financed this film out of his own pocket.

The production got an added boost when the author, William Pattison (who wrote the novel under his pen name Eric Morse), gave Stevens and the production his support. Pattison has joined the production as Executive Consultant and will be lending the production his voice talent in an important voiceover role.

The production also features a cast of talented young actors. They include Mali MacConnell, Benjamin M. Santos, Corey A. Lucas, Dave Conte, Nicole Lillie, Stephen LoVerme, Allyson Smith. It also includes Paul Bradicich as old man Varner, and Derek Jimenez as the murderous the hunter, Joe Travers.

Principle photography started during the summer of 2006. It is currently on Winter break and will finish in spring of 2007.  The film will be released on the internet on April 13th 2007.

Currently, there are three trailers available on the internet. Also the filmmaker has released two sneek preview scenes from film and a behind the scenes clip on the internet. These trailers, scenes, clips, as well as the script, stills, and cast and crew interviews can be seen at the Official movie page at:   www.homestead.com/f13bloodbath/mothersdayfilm.html

Hey People,

Disaster has struck the production of Mother's Day. The production crew was supposed to spend the next couple of weekends filming the final scenes they need to shoot to finish the film and to shoot pickup shots as well. Unfortunately the area where they were supposed to shoot in in the middle of a snow storm. So, now the production has to reschedule these shooting days.
This means that the release date for the film will have to be belayed for two more months. The new release date will be June 13th, the Official birthday of Jason Voorhees...

Cory and crew have decided it would be better if they held off making an official release date, since they cannot depend on the weather and they've already had to delay release due to the fact that extreme weather. Therefore, the only thing we can confirm is that the film will be released sometime during the summer of 2007....

The film is now out and available for download or streaming in three part on You Tube.....
Here is our new press release:

Press Release:

With a rain storm that flooded out the location during the primary shooting and unseaonable snowy weather that delayed the reshoot for three months, it seemed like production on the film adaptation of Eric Morse's Friday the 13th novel, Mother's Day, would never get done. But Crystal Lake fans can now cheer because Cory Stevens, William Pattison(aka Eric Morse), and the rag tag cast and crew of this ambitious project have put the film in the can and will have the film ready for it's new internet premiere date of July 13th 2007.

This fan made film takes place after the events in the film JASON GOES TO HELL. Jason Voorhees has been sent to hell. A hunter digs up Jason's hockey mask and becomes possessed by the evil of Jason. He then  terrorizes a group of campers who have decided to camp at the site where Camp Crystal Lake once existed.

For Director/Producer Cory Stevens this has been a three  and a half year journey to translate Morse's young adult novel  onto the big screen. But it has been a labor of love for this young film student, who has financed this film out of his own pocket.

The production got an added boost when the author, William Pattison (who wrote the novel under his pen name Eric Morse), gave Stevens and the production his support. Currently, there are four trailers available on the internet. Also the filmmaker has released four sneek preview scenes from film and a behind the scenes clip on the internet. These trailers, scenes, clips, as well as the script, stills, and cast and crew interviews can be seen at the Official movie page at:

www.fd13mothersday.com

The film will be available as a free download, as well as streaming on You Tube.

I know Cory was working on a limited edition two DVD set for the people who worked on the film. I have told him myself that I have about seven people interested in getting a copy. He will only be able to charge for the blank DVDs and case. I'll see if Cory might make one up for you as well.

Also remember the film is streaming on You Tube. Just type "friday the 13th mother's day in the search function...
