remember the whole party being a good time.  I was feeling good and had a case of sparklers!!!

I met loads of fun people.

Everything stopped once the pink and blue lights hit bright and Atomic Babies started doing their thing.... of course making me do my own thing.  I think I busted out dance moves that I don't think would ever be possible for me to do again.  I loved it.  I was there w/ my best friends at the time and one that still love>>> Jason!

There person I was dating at the time was being a total shit head and bringing me down.. Again, the Atomic Babies made all that gibberish leave and made the night feeling great!

REAL MATURE POSTING.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR NEGATIVITY TO YOURSELF.

SOME OF US DID HAVE A GREAT TIME THIS WEEKEND.

SOME DID INVEST MONEY, EQUIPMENT, TIME AND A LOT OF HARD WORK WITH NO INTENTIONS OF GETTING PAID. JUST TO ENJOY THE WEEKEND MORE.

DIY (DO - IT - YOURSELF)!!!!!!!

PLEASE REMEMBER IT'S CALLED FAMILY AFFAIR,
NOT MAKE MONEY, BE A SUPERSTAR DJ FOR THE WEEKEND AND BITCH AND MOAN AFFAIR. I GOT TO PARTY HARDY WITH MY BEST FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR A WEEKEND. JUST LIKE FA 1, 2, 3, 4, AND 5 IT WAS BEAUTIFUL.
IF YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS OR FAMILY, TRY MAKING SOME. IT'S A LOT BETTER THAN MAKING ENEMIES.

PLEASE STOP WITH ALL OF THE GAY JOKES.

Please don't use DIY as an excuse for this event.
The people that paid to go didn't setup the two main sound systems facing each other causing the sound to clash.

The party kids didn't say there would be showers and then there were not any or advertise DJs that never played.

Give me a break man, this has nothing to do with DIY.

You know, Pre-sales were available pretty much to THE DAY of the event.

To repeat myself.....here......3 weeks after the event, and still MASS complaining.

Despite all the mishaps...It was a NICE weekend.  People in general were NICE.  Everyone got along.  There was music ALL weekend.  I don't understand why everyone has to find a reason to complain.  This is why we DON'T have parties.  Be happy for what was provided for you.  And, be thankful for all who put effort and hard work into it.

I couldn't have asked for a better weekend, really.  Its all about love and togetherness.  Make the best of all situations.

My 2 cents.

You are so right on ... it amazes me that people complain so much, especially when they complain about an event as beautiful as this one was.  I have a few words for those of you who never seem to be satisfied with anything and just want to bitch as if they have all the answers and could run an event better ... DO IT!  Go on ... organize that 'PERFECT' party that you all seem to want so bad.

- Go through the process for once ... bookings, contracts, permits, deposits, approvals, confirmations, planning, production, promotion, staffing, communications, design, strategy, advising, sponsorship, accounting ...

- Put YOUR personal money towards this 'PERFECT' party by printing the perfect flier, paying off all the tens of thousands of dollars you are gonna need for deposits of all those headliners you always bitch about never seeing on lineups anymore ...

- You people seem to know so much about getting permits and the legalities of throwing this 'PERFECT' party, so you shouldn't have any problem making sure that both the venue owner(s) and yourself are COMPLETLY covered from all liabilities and laws that could either shut you down or land you in federal prison for 25 years which means you will have no problem hiring the proper security for your 'PERFECT' party as well as getting SIGNED approval and paying the local and/or State law officials (police / off duty security / etc.) to oversee your "PERFECT" party ... you shouldn't have a problem making sure that the local / state officers assigned to your 'PERFECT' party as well as thier corrosponding barracks / division are there ONLY as a 'moderating' law official and cannot impose probable cause drug arrests unless bearing witness to a serious or VIOLENT crime as signed by those officials and thier corrosponding barracks / divisions.

- You know-it-all bitchers will have no problem making and taking those thousand or so phone calls a day MONTHS before the event as well as keeping track of booking confirmations, vender requests, stage and sound techs, lighting and visuals ... and oh, how could I forget those headliners you need to confirm (and those headliners are ALL so relaible that EVERY one of them that confirms with you will ALL show up and play at EXACTLY when you need them to ... cause your party will be 'PERFECT')

- Your party will be FLAWLESS ... every one of your timeslots will go as planned ... and all of your acts will show up (HA!)

- You complainers must know how to run a great party ... you will even know how to deal with complaining bitchers like yourselves by spending tens of thousands of dollars of your and your coordinated sponsorship money ... and only charge $10 at the gate (at the most), have a 500 person guestlist for all those bitchers who want in for free ... AND STILL MAKE MONEY FOR THE NEXT ONE!

Basically what I am trying to point out is that alot of you isolated jerks who spend all your time locked away in your house behind a computer bitching about what could have been better about an event like Family Affair this year probobly have no effing clue what it takes to bring these things together.

Finally ... I just have to get one more thing off my chest about this total disrespect those of you choosing to complain fail to realize.

DID ANY OF YOU HAPPEN TO TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT BRIAN AT ALL THAT WHOLE WEEKEND?  IF YOU DID YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN HIM SWEATING.  NOT ONLY BECAUSE IT WAS HOT BUT BECAUSE THAT MAN WAS DOING SOMETHING ALL OF YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL FOR INSTEAD OF BITCHING YOUR SORRY WASTE OF TIME ASSES OFF ABOUT HOW THIS SUCKED OR THAT SUCKED

... THAT MAN WAS SWEATING FOR YOU TOO YOU KNOW!!!  HE BROUGHT YOU SOMETHING THAT IS BECOMING PRETTY FRIGGIN RARE NOWADAYS ... RARE BECAUSE OF JERKOFFS LIKE YOU BITCHING ABOUT HOW THINGS SHOULD BE.

JUST HEARING YOU ALL MAKES ME HANG MY HEAD BECAUSE IF IT CAME DOWN TO IT ... I CAN PRETTY MUCH GUARANTEE THAT NONE OF YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT IT WOULD HAVE LIFTED A DAMN HAND TO HELP OUT.  NONE OF YOU KNOW WHAT THIS SCENE USED TO BE ... WHEN THERE WAS STILL RESPECT IN PEOPLE FOR THE SCENE ... REGARDLESS OF HOW GOOD AN EVENT WAS.

You should all re-think how you judge things.  If you can't begin to do any better than what you are given ... then shut up, dance, and enjoy what you have left because it is because of the bullshyt that come out of your mouths that make events like this that much harder to produce.  If your infectious way of bitching and hating keep spreading ... then you won't have anything at all.

Think about it.

John, you are totally right on!!

I thanked Brian & Kelly for throwing such an awesome party, and Brian looked at me like I was an alien.  I don't think very many people took time to thank him, which is too bad..

I'll say it again:  THANKS BRIAN!!!!  I'll always remember it.

Hopefully there will be more good parties, but even if there aren't we've had such awesome ones already.  Smile
