This was the 2005 route, according to one report:

Quote:
The race starts and finishes close to Silverburn and the course takes in Scald Law (1899ft), South Black Hill (1840ft), East Kip (1750ft) and West Kip (1806ft) before descending to the Howe. The athletes then tackle the final hill, Carnethy (1890ft).

The OH and I have just been discussing that route, and worked out that I have actually stood * on top of all those hills.

Not recently, of course, and not necessarily all on the same day!

* When it comes to the West Kip, the correct verb might be "fallen over . . . " It gets quite breezy up there.

Well folks i finished the Carnethy in one piece, in a time of 1hr 6mins and 18secs. My legs are a wee bit tender today, but my wee swim and jacuzzi
this morning has helped a bit.

Well done, Davie! You beat your own time limit, and you can't do better than that.

Have a few smiles to ease those muscles.

Great stuff, Davie ------ and you beat your target!

How on earth did you have the strength to have a swim this morning ( or drop into the jacuzzi for that matter)?
