Apparently there was a huge glitch at HQ over the last couple of days. A number of board Admins posted messages on the Support Forum saying that they had lost messages, layouts, and even Members.

Now, I have to say that, personally, I haven't had any problems, so it may not have affected our server. However if any of you have noticed anything disappearing, or had strange error codes appearing where you expected to see our bright, smiling faces, please let the Admin Team know.

We do have backup files, though if you posted a message which never appeared, I'm afraid it's probably lost for good. Please post it again, if you can remember the gist of it.

If anyone tried to sign on recently but it didn't work out, please come back and try again. Honest, we weren't being deliberately horrible!

Thanks for your patience, and for your help in making our Forum a happy little ship, in the main.

Well, folks - as you can see, our former colour scheme still isn't working, so I've acquired this one for now. At least we can see where to put our feet again.

What do you think of this one? Do you like it as much, less, more? Obviously we can't have a different colour scheme for everybody - the idea is to have something which is clear and relatively easy on the eye for all of us.

Must admit, I quite like this one - it's called aeolus, instead of our previous avalanche - but I'm open to comment from you, the users.

I think I can safely scratch anything pink off the list of possibles, though.

gotcha!

I preferred it the old way!  (You won't be surprised to hear that from me, since I preferred the blue default boxes to the cat's paws.)

If I recall, Soup really liked that pink!  So you'd have one vote for it.  Laughing

ARRGGHH!!! Not the pink anything but the pink.
Must admit whatever you first get is usually what makes you comfortable, but would say that the current (grey) scheme is very calm on the eyes.  So I am rather ambivalent the old (blue) layout or the new (grey) layout, I am not really bothered which is chosen as the default .   Is, or is there any chance of you getting , the choice in "Board style" working.

When we began I did put several different colour schemes into our works, with the idea that everyone could choose their favourite.

Unfortunately that caused problems - it appeared that only one scheme would work at a time, so I had to put my dainty size nines down and pick just the one.

With the upgrade, some of the older schemes seem to have stopped working, and last time I tried, our original one was amongst them.

However, once I'm certain everything has settled down again, I'll have a go at getting our old colours back. Might even try for one or two other choices, if you're all very, very good.

Can't promise anything until I try though.
