Oh, don't even go there.....thanks to my other half line of work, I've seen it from the "industrial cleaners" side of the fence - and it ain't pretty!
The worst one (apart from the flat in which someone had died!) was the flat inhabited by four student doctors. They'd been in the place for three years and I swear they hadn't so much as lifted a duster or done any kind of cleaning in that time! The cooker must have been a health hazard - along with the fridge - and these were people who were supposedly allowed to treat others! |

Hello beautiful ones,
I apologise sincerely for my lack of posting. Job life certainly not been going well. Lets just say there's some bullies in this world and they all seem to be where I work. I need to get back to caring for older people where I have met the nicest people and where I get my kicks from (literally sometimes). Haven't felt like being online, but I'm gonna start going on again. Been missing you lovely people who make me smile. So if you know anywhere nice thats looking for a nurse, please let me know. _________________ Cake or Death? |

Hi Sooz - lovely to see you again!
That's a rotten shame about your job - you had such high hopes of it at first. I hope a better one will come along soon. If nothing else, you can put this one down to experience - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, as they say.
I suppose at the beginning of your career there's no harm in trying a few different variations - it all gives you more experience, of dealing with colleagues as well as patients!
Keep your chin up, and wait for the next opportunity. Good luck! |

Hi Sooz --- I'm sure I saw an advert for staff on the door of Drummond Grange Nursing Home, between Loanhead and Lasswade, just before Christmas. I didn't pay much attention so I don't know who they were looking for. You could always give them a ring unless the area doesn't suit.
On the other hand I've had a word with my wife to see if she would let you look after me and she says poor lassie heaven help her but if she's game it'll get you off my hands although I hope she knows that you ramble on and on and cannae keep your hands to yourself but I'm sure you know I'm a very well behaved sort of person and would be happy to let you do all the handling and as for going on and on that simply isn't true because everyone on this forum knows that I'm a very reticent sort of person and words have to be dragged out of me.
So there. _________________

It's all true - we have to use thumbscrews to get him to talk on the Forum. |
