| No, never, no way, I hate the Internet anyway and I don't even look at my e-mail. |

The latest toy we have been offered by FPB HQ is e-mail through the board. So far I haven't taken it up because I don't know whether anybody would be interested in having another address.
It would involve creating a sub-domain - don't worry about it! - and your e-mail address would be something like (name)@fpb43 - FangleMcDirk@fpb298, for example. (I don't think that one has been taken so far.)
We would all have the same extension - the number part, after the @ sign - but obviously the name part would be up to the individual member, I think, though it might be easier to use your name here, or a version of it. It would be free, you would get 100MB of space, and you could read it via Outlook Express, POP3, IMAP or some other things I don't know much about.
Oh, and it goes without saying that it would be absolutely private.
If anyone wants more information, just ask, and I'll get some more info for you. But if no-one wants it, I won't take it any further - so perhaps we could do with another Poll on this one. |

Taken from the Support Forum:

Anyone will be able to use them. All you need is either a subdomain (blah.fpb1.com) or a domain (blah.com) entered in to the system.
You'll then be able to make email addresses either you@blah.fpb1.com or you@blah.com.
There are also no limits on the number of addresses you can have and there will also be email forwarding.
We are offering unlimited space (within reason).
You'll be able to read your mail via AJAX web mail, IMAP or POP3 (The last two can have encrypted connections).
I recommend that you use IMAP. It allows you to read your email through a email client when your at home or use the web mail when your at school/work and all your emails are there.
Sounds nice eh?
With any luck you'll see it on the weekend.

You can see some test messages there if you want. Double-click to open them - you can single-click to select more than one, and drag them to folders at the side.

Just the one Yes vote so far.
Sorry, Asbo, but I'm not going to wade through the setting-up process for just one!
If anyone would like the e-mail thing but hasn't voted yet, you've still got a bit more time, till Wednesday I think.
I always leave it until the last minute to stake my own claim, then miss it . . . |

Well, it looks like a resounding NO for that one!
Never mind - there's bound to be another one along in a minute. |
