For all those who have missed these features - The "View new posts" and "Who is online Map" are both working again, although the Map will still only work in Firefox, sorry. There are rumours that it may be usable with IE once Version 3 is up and running, but I can't swear to that.

The main difference that Version 3 would make for Members is that you would have a more detailed Control Panel for making your Preferences known - there would be more things to choose between. For example, you would be able to mark other members as Friends (and have more tea parties) or Foes (and be able to ignore them completely, not even seeing their posts unless you wanted to). However at the moment you have your Profile to take care of the essentials, if you want to change anything.

We would still be able to choose our colour scheme (or at least the Admin Team could, though as always we take everyone's views into account) and they are promising more and better games in the Arcade.

If anybody does have strong views about this possible (not compulsory) change, please let the Admin Team know.

Never been to either . . . so it looks as though it's back to normal again!

There was one week, shortly before downtime, when I was in a different place every day. It's a very cheap way of having a holiday, at least!

Is the games section working again? Tried to get into it yesterday, but it kept telling me I didn't have permission to access it?

Doesn't work for me in Firefox or in Crazy Browser (an I.E.skin).

Right, I'll have a look into the Games. They should be working, but glitches happen - and I do know that some settings got boggarted during the downtime.

Sorry about that.

(Cutaway to waves crashing, trains in tunnels, owls yelling at the moon . . . )

Later that same day.

I've been in for a twiddle - the access was previously set to be for Registered Members with at least 5 posts, but somehow that had been changed to access for Vergin' on the Verge Members. This might have been the problem, since Sue and Soup are no longer Vergin'.

Anyway, let me know if you're still having problems, and I'll go in with a JCB and get it sorted.

Thanks for keeping us up to date!

The Games are now sorted - sort of. I haven't played them all, and it isn't always obvious from the name what kind of game it is.

If you find any that should be in a different Category - or any that don't work at all - please tell me, and I'll see what I can do.

No, I can't fix the Highest Scores for you!
