Went out last night for a pizza - one of the kids birthday's. As is the norm these days the place was being run by a bunch of kids who didn't have much of a clue with regard to customer care.
Anyway, after waiting for 20 minutes to be served we discovered the delay was due to the electronic tills being down.
We had our food and asked for the bill - yet another long delay.
I suggested to my wife the real problem will be that the kids can't count and are having to work the bills out with a pen and pencil. Sure enough, the lad arrives with the bill and explains that he had to do the calculations without a calculator so we'd better check it!
As he was approaching a member of our group announced that she was paying the bill and wouldn't take no for an answer.
As things panned out, the bill was wrong and they had undercharged us by quite a bit. Being an honest person I would have pointed this out to the lad - I think - but considering the bill payer was an OAP on small pension I decided to put aside my honesty.
Was I correct to take this approach or will I burn in hell? |

TBH if you (TINY) are running a business and decide that it can muddle on wih minimum wage school leavers and then it back fires then it just goes to show you TINY should have paid someone full wages to oversee what was happening. It is not your fault, if you had loads of money and knew the owner perhaps a quiet word and pay the extra but as is stay schtum. _________________ 'S riogal mo dhream

I recently had a meal with some friends at an establishment in Penicuik. I don't know if it was the same place, but the service was terrible. We had to order and re-order several times because the very young staff - whose first language was certainly not English - couldn't find the most basic and obvious of items.
We waited a very long time for food which was not outstanding, and wasn't even very warm when it finally arrived.
The bill was hand-calculated - and wrong. They had left out one person's meal, I seem to remember (not a large sum).
Did we point out the mistake? No - we felt that if it is expected that the customer add a tip for good service, it ought to be perfectly acceptable to deduct an "un-tip" for bad. In this case they had deducted it on our behalf, so we accepted the fact! |

These places over-charge for food anyway....especially if it was the hut of Pizza. It's there fault really and if the service was that shocking the amount you payed was probably right for the service you were recieving! My mum and dad once walked out of a cafe in Bigger without paying and didn't realise they'd done it untill they reached Penicuik...they decided next time they went to give a big tip...hehe _________________ Cake or Death? |

No - that's more like whitemail.
"If you don't go for a bath I'll saw your feet off . . . "
Now that would be blackmail! |
