Joseph Jarvis Flack born 1833 Castle Hedingham, son of Barnabus Flack and Sarah Unwin, married Helen Riddel in 1859. Helen died in 1881 and Joseph married Jane Moore in St Martins in the Fields in 1883. Jane was a widow, the daughter of William Ellis farmer.
Joseph Jarvis Flack died in Twickenham in 1885 which makes it difficult for me to find out anything else about Jane Moore nee Ellis. There is a Jane Flack, widow aged 53 born Hatfield Hertfordshire living with James Day in Islington in the 1891 census ( RG12/175/170/18 ) where her relation to the head of the family is given as "Friend", but I have no idea if this is the right Jane Flack. I can't find this particular Jane Flack in the 1901 census so she may have remarried. In the 1881 census there is a Jane Moore wife of Charles Moore who was born in Hatfield Herts but her age is given as 38 so the match is not good.
There does not seem to have been any surviving Flack children from either marriage. Does anybody know anything more about Jane Ellis, daughter of William Ellis, who married Somebody Moore who died before 1883? If so I would love to hear from you!
