A quick message to all the idiots who try to become a registered member of the message board. I must get 10 requests a night- don't you have anything better to do 
Even if you did slip through the net - you wouldn't manage more than a couple of your asinine porno posts before you got booted off and banned. This is a genuine family website and you just wont be tolerated.
Now an apology - to any REAL person I have mistakenly denied access to - I do humbly apologise. If you feel 'wronged' - please accept my apologies and email me via the website and we can easily sort your message board membership out.
We always welcome real people - with real email addresses - and an interest in genealogy.

Sadly Jim a sign of the times. Most of these are 'spam bots' running automatically, there is no spammer sitting at a computer keyboard. I've had much the same problem with my own form and have now changed it like you here to add things like CAPTCHA etc but even this has been broken.
So far the best way is to include a forced question on registration that has to be compiled by a 'Human' - bots currently cannot figure this out. |
