Hi everyone,
My name is Sharon Lytle Bird. My paternal great-grandparents were David George and Anna Flack Lytle, from Lisbon, NY. David was born in 1807 and Anna in 1814. They had 11 children, the youngest being Alton Adelbert Lytle, my grandfather. Anna's parents were James P. Flack and Mary Polly Powell. Their ancestors came to NY from Ireland with the Thomas Clark congregation in the mid 1700's. My grandfather moved back and forth between NY and Wisconsin a couple of times before making his home in Washington state.

Hi Sharon - welcome to the messageboard. You will find my attempts so far at compiling YOUR tree at ** Tree608J **.

The website and the database has been down for nearly 2 weeks now (server problems I'm afraid) - but its nearly all back on-line now.

I must admit I was engrossed in chasing this family but recently got sidetracked tracing another PA family (James Flack & Ann Baxter). Its sometimes hard to know which to concentrate on 1st.

I must admit I have a forest full of census paperwork still to add to your tree - but its just getting the time to do it all - PLUS - as you approach the top of the tree its also hard to get good quality information. As its actually your own family - I'm hoping you can help me out here if you would be so kind with any documentation you may have to 'prove' some of the higher up links.

Lisbon and Washington County in New York are AWASH with Flacks and any help would be appreciated.

Finally - I did actually post a request on the board here a month or so ago about Dr Clarks book which mentions the Flacks. I hear so much about it but have never ever really seen the references to the Flacks - maybe you could help me out here too - that WOULD be awesome.

Anyway - hope to hear from you soon, although I still have my head down trying to restore the remaining 4000 people (in 200+ smaller trees) back into the database.

Best wishes

Thanks for the welcome, Jim. I have found a lot about my family on your site but not everything, of course. I will email you the information I have.
