Hello Sarah,

I read your message with great interest because Alfred and Louisa are my great grandparents.  My grandfather was Thomas Alfred Flack 1891 the eldest child of Thomas and Louisa.  I have a photograph of Louisa, which various people now have, I found it in the wallet of my grandfather. Also in the wallet was an address in Hillingdon, Middlesex, I wondered if it was your Walter ?
As you may know Thomas a, Louisa and family were living in Gainsborough in 1901 having moved from Cambridge around 1899.

Would love to hear from you.

Madeline

Hillingdon does ring a bell but I am not sure why.

I took a pause from doing searching, I have started a PGCE so life is super busy atm. I havn't seen a picture of louisa. I would love to see a picture of Walter.

Alred and louisa are my great great grandparents, i am thinking this would make us distant cousins of such? Smile

Hello Sarah,

Thank you for your prompt reply.  I looked on the cousins chart we are second cousins once removed.

The address I have in Hillingdon, Middlesex was 42, Ryefiled Avenue.  I feel sure this will have been an address for Walter .  Family legend has it that we had a relative in London and he was quite successful.

I have birth certificate copies for both Alfred and Louisa, also their marriage certifiicate if you would like them.  I am happy to share any information I have .

My email address is r.goldingay1@btinternet.com, I am not sure if I can send Louisa's picture through this site.

Kind regards,

Madeline Goldingay ( nee Flack )

I do recognise that address now. I have a copy of his death certificate it has that address on there. I don't know much about the Flack side of my family.
I started looking into my family history to find out about my great grandmother (Walters first wife) Violet Marion Flack nee Wilson.

My e-mail address is
sarah-anne.evans@live.co.uk

I would appreciate a copy of anything you have Smile

· Quote

Hi to Sarah and Madeline.

I see that >> Thomas Alfred Flack << is in the database (just so others can see where he fits if interested) so thats always good news.

I am just going to make the point about how HUGE this particular tree actually is. It consists of at least (currently) 23 different Flack bloodlines all related through various marriages and other families, with over 32,000 people in just this one tree.

All the seperate heads of family can be seen >> HERE << in a database report we produced.

The obvious hope is that we can join some of these currently separate 'family' heads up into 1 main bloodline tree at sometime - but until then, I think that DENISE has done a remarkable job with her research so far.

I know I am site co-owner WITH Denise, but I just thought I'd make sure you all know the tremendous work that Denise contributes to the website here.
