I have just created this particular Forum so I thought I'd better make the 1st post here and introduce myself.

I'm Jim Flack (age 57) and my General interests are Web Design and Genealogy (I suppose you could have worked that bit out easily anyway  Rolling Eyes ).

My Fathers side of the family (Flacks of course) go up to Henry Flack b.abt 1566 possibly in Balsham, Cambridgeshire. In the searchable database you will find its Tree951DJ.

Its a HUGE tree with currently over 26,000 people in it (including my mothers side). The actually tree spans much more than just Henry Flacks descendants though - as through various marriages - Henry Flack links to at least 17 OTHER quite separate and distinct Flack families. I must admit I couldn't have found all these people and links without the help of Denise - my 'web partner' here.

So I'm obviously interested in adding information to THIS particular tree.

On my Mother side - I'm specifically interested in the CARTER surname in County Durham. I'm currently looking to gain extra information about Richard Carter b.abt 1786 West Auckland, Co. Durham.

I also go quite a way back to John BESSANT b.abt 1688 pos Weston in Gordano, Somerset. The Bessant descendants also have huge links back to Australia and New Zealand too.

So if anyone can help me with any of the above - then I'd obviously love to hear from you.
