Samuel Flack b.1805/1815 emigrated about 1845/1850 to USA. The 1850 US Census starts in Sterling Township, Cayuga County, New York State.

The resultant family always stays in a reasonably compact location around Cayuga County and Oswego County next door.

Unfortunately the 1st few Census decades seem to vary wildly - but I'm sure its the correct family.

It isn't helped either by the poor spelling variations of the surname in Ancestry.com - Flack, Fluck, Hack, Slack and Flax to name the obvious few. That, coupled with the odd William and Wm etc just makes it that much harder to start off an initial tree.

Anyway - its 63 people so far - and if you recognise it as part of YOUR family tree, or can help in any way, I'd be more than pleased to hear from you.
