Former West Brom striker Lee Hughes leaves prison and is set to resume his football career with Oldham
He is going to get a tough time from fans and possibly players when he returns - but i wish him luck - he made a mistake and i'm sure he has had time to think about it
Everybody deserves a second chance in life - and Oldham have given him that chance so i hope he takes it with two hands |

| Sorry but I think he should have served longer. While he is on parole, a cut of his wages should go to the family of the guy who he killed. |

I agree that he should of served longer but now hes out he needs to get his head down and be allowed to get on with his football.
Even if he offered some of his wages to the families i dont think they'd accept. Maybe he should go to schools and talk to the kids about drink driving. _________________

| It is probably my line of work that led to the outburst. I hope he has learned from this and is a reformed character but he will get stick from opposition fans - they won't give him that 2nd chance. |

Oldham striker Lee Hughes has made a public apology on returning to football after his release from jail
"This is the first time I've been able to make a public apology. I hope for a chance to rebuild my life,"
"I'm acutely aware of my actions, which resulted in the death of one person and serious injury to others."
"In going some way to facing my responsibilities I have met with a relative of the man who died, and what was said will always remain a private and personal matter," he said. _________________

We all do stupid things i'm sure, some of us are just unlucky that they led to tragic events, i don't condone what he did but i know quite a few people, my bro included that have drunk drove and were lucky enough not to have killed someone, i just hope that he truly regrets what he's done and as jonny says can go round schools or give some of his time getting the message across to others not to drink drive. His position as a footballer may just have influence on young kids so they won't do it. _________________
