League Two club Lincoln City have appointed ex Huddersfield boss Peter Jackson as their new manager. Lincoln are currently sitting in the relegation zone and have put their faith in the 43-year-old to turn the season around.
I think this is a great appointment. Peter did really well in establishing Huddersfield as one of the top League Two clubs and I see no reason why he can't do the same at Lincoln. Whether he can take them further then that is open to debate but I think consolidating their league position is of the most importance right now.
Lincoln also plan to report Peterborough to the Football League for an alleged illegal approach to Lee Frecklington.
Frecklington is one of three players who were confirmed as January targets for Peterborough, however, they have been knocked back in their attempts to land midfielder Frecklington by Lincoln, who are planning to bring the incident to the attention of the Football League. _________________
