Well three games to go and the table is taking shape. Scunthorpe are already promoted and we are just two wins away from joining them. Rotherham and Brentford will be playing their football in League Two next season and Chesterfield are in serious danger of joining them.

So going into the last 3 games we have three tough games.

Carisle (a)
Millwall (a)
Rotherham (h)

None of those are easy all thought Rotherham should not put up much of a fight with nothing left to play for and in any normal stage of the season I would settle for 4 points from these 3 games but I think we need 5 at the least.

Forest have a easier run in

Bournemouth
Cheltenham
Crewe

All very winnable, one thing I take comfort in is that we seem to play better against teams that will want to attack something Carisle and Millwall will be doing.

Blackpool are a concern but part of me thinks they have left it just to late I said they would be up there though so I wont be writing them off just yet. Their games line up as follows.

Cheltenham
Scunthorpe
Swansea

Two of those teams still have a hell of a lot to play for and I expect Cheltenham could cause a bit of a upset this Saturday at least I hope so.

Being 1-0 up at half time and then hearing that Blackpool and Forest were losing was a great feeling sometimes I still have to pinch myself but I think this could be our year. Gary knows what to do and I just think we have had a little bit more than Forest and Blackpool all season.

Its been a long old season seems like only yesterday that Orr was headbutting Louis Carey and being sent off. That I still belive now was the turning point of our season we came back from taht to win the game and Bradly Orr has come on leaps and bounds.

If we do go up we will need to improve the team though.

I think Basso who made another outstanding save today is good enough for the step up, he has 16 clean sheets or something like that which is ace. McCombe has been a total class act, a legend now in some eyes he is well on his way to earning Shaun Taylor status and Louis Carey has been so good in perticuler the last 10 games.

I have already touched on Orr his touch and dribbling are very good for a right back if he can sort out his passing he would be even better but I belive he can make the step up meaning that our back four with Jaimie Mac at left back is pretty much sorted, Keogh and Fontaine will be making the odd apperance both of them more than able as well. Keogh is going to be very good one day.

Central midfield is sorted in my opinion Noble, Johnson who has been outstanding in fact both of them have and Skuse are good enough. Russell who I rate highly will probably leave due to age but I would keep him for cover and probably bring in one more for the middle and then use Artus every now and again.

Betsy is not good enough so thats at least one new rigth winger we need and Murray should get a new contract. Left midfield looks poor as always Wilson is great but I prefer him at right midfield so that posistion needs filling.

The real worry is up front Brooker has been poor we need to get him fit this year. Jevons is alright but I doubt he will score another level up and Enoch despite a great start has been poor. We are far to nice up front I think we will bring in Pospil and I hope if Forest dont go up we have another look at Holt, a move up a league will be to much for him to resist and he is the sort of bully man we have been missing, add a young striker with pace to that list maybe a loan signing here and there and we should have a good enough team to stay up in my opinion as everything off the pitch is sound at the moment and our chairman has hit a bit of money so hopefully he will put some of that back into the club.

Things are bright for Bristol City thats for sure.

Just did a quick prediction thing on BBC.

City to go up on last day with 86 points, Forest on 84 and Blackpool on 80.

Going into the very last game we were two points clear with Blackpool just the three points behind and could have gone up on goal difference if we lost and Forest lost.

Bradford and Chesterfield sufferd the drop.

It is going to be tense no matter what.
