Hull look to have beaten Celtic to the signature of Nancy striker Marc-Antoine Fortune, according to the French club.
Tigers boss Phil Brown is keen to do a deal but he feared the 27-year-old would opt to join Celtic, as he knows Tony Mowbray well from his time at West Brom last season.
However, Hull are now in the box seat according to Nancy sporting director Nicolas Holveck, who claims that a deal could be sorted out over the weekend.
Think it was obvious he was going to choose Hull to stay in the Premiership, although West Brom went down he played a big part in trying to save them. _________________
