I THINK I AM GOIN TO CHANGE OVER TO A 205 CAUSE I F'ED UP MY 203 SATURDAY WHICH TRANSMISSION HAS THE SAME OUTPUT SHAFT SETUP AS A 400 TURBO. I NEED TO FIGURE IT ALL OUT AND GET THE PARTS THAT I NEED. AND DOES THE CROSSMEMBER MATCH UP TO THE 203 AND 205 OR NOT. |

I PUT THE TRUCKBACK NTO FOURLOW THE OTHER DAY AN IT 'POPPED' I GAVE IT GAS AND WOULDN'T DO ANTHING. I PUT IT UP ON THE TRAILER LOOKED AT THE LINKAGE AND STUFF DIDNT REALLY SEE ANY PROBLEMS BUT WHEN YOU STEP ON THE BRAKE AND GIVE SOME GAS THE REAR TURNS AND THE FRONT JUST TRIES AND POPS IT LOOKS LIKE A RATCHET THAT DOESNT REALLY TURN LIKE THE CHAIN IS SLIPPING OR THE TEETH ARE TORE UP. SOMEODY SAID IT MIGHT BE THE FORK N THE TRANSFER CASE ALSO. I AM GETTING READY TO TEAR IT APART THIS WEEKEND HOPEFULLY.

The chain has probably came off, and it's in a bind!!! Or the fork is not engaging. Usually that's the only two problems (major) with the case. I do have an extra 203 if you need one

I DIDN'T KNOW CHEVYS HAD ENOUGH POWER TO BREAK ANY THING
