ok, well im putting a lot of money into a new motor right now and would also like to buy a new set of tires, would a welded work for now until a locker or spool was bought? or should i just leave it open until buying a spool or locker?

its what ever you feel like will work the best, but if you leave it open its alot easier to put the spool in when you get it.......

how did you do your welding (what part did you weld, spiders only, carrier, ect)? also did you use a 1018 stick or what?

weld up the spider gears together, the axel gears to the case using nikel rod.

ok, so the spider gears are the 2 out of the 4 that are horizontal, and the axle gears are vertical
