I WOULD LIKE TO SET UP A MEETING BETWEEN ALL PROMOTORERS AND CLUBS LETS GET A DATE SET AND LETS COME UP WITH A GOOD SET OF RULES DUSTY D., MIKE WILLIAMS, JOE COFFMAN, ALEX AMENS,PERRY HICKS, CMBA GUYS, MMOR, MMRA, FUN RUNNERS AND BADLANDERS AND ANYONE ELSE THAT WANTS IN ON HELPING WITH RULES AND CLASSES I KNOW WE ALL WOULD LIKE TO GROW THE SPORT AND IF WE ALL CAN PULL TOGETHER AND DO THIS IT WOULD BE A HUGE STEP FOR THE MUD RUN SPORT IN OUR AREA
JUST CAUSE WE SET UP RULES AND CLASSES YOU DON'T HAVE TO RUN ALL OF THEM AT AN EVENT PICK AND CHOOSE YOUR CLASSES LIKE MIKE RUNS A 33 IN STOCK CLASS I RACE A 35 AND 38.5 STOCK CLASSES BUT WE CAN SET THE RULES UP FOR THE STOCK CLASSES AND MEASUREMENT CAN BE DIFFERENT FROM AREA TO AREA _________________ LIFE IS LIKE MUD RACING SOMETIMES IT'S EASY AND SOMETIMES IT'S HARD JUST KEEP TRYING AND YOU'LL MAKE IT |

Common rules would be the best thing that would happen around here. And you (promoters and track owners) would be able to put up a general page for just you to see of who is the rule breakers and what not to better get a handle of what questionable infractions are taking place to better modify the rules to be more clear and what not also. I have heard of guys who are able to bend rules at certain races and what goes there puts up a DQ mark elsewhere and then a big ol' fight gets started. If there is a page for you to keep track of questionable infractions you would be able to keep rules more clear and then at tech in times everybody would know in advance what they are running and not trying to fit in to some class they aren't eligible to run in.
We would be more likely to help make a points series race that would be able to run more frequently like every other weekend. Like alternating the track where races are held. Urich, Garden City, Bates City, Warrensburg, And where ever else that would be willing to get in on it. It would cut down on the number of races except for like Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July, etc. when everybody could have their own races. I am betting that this would possibly create larger turn outs.
What about holding off on rules and till after the banquet is over and try to have a large meeting at a common rest. on a Saturday afternoon like the second weekend of Dec. with the diff. tracks and promoters and racers all giving feedback. Just print up you own rules bring them in from all the diff. tracks and lets all compare right there.
Just alot of talk coming from a guy who couldn't afford to race most of the year but sometimes people need a break and then get back at it.
My family comes first but its time to get back in the swing of things!!!!!! |
