Is it true that another mutant is the reason why Pro X cant walk. and if it is than who was the one that made the most powerful mutant on the planet unable to walk?

It was all during and due to the House of M big story arc! The Scarlet Witch, Mags daughter, was going insane and there was talk of her needing to be killed.
She has reality altering powers and basically changed the world to be perfect where mutants were the supreme being. Xavier was missing and it was thought that somehow she was channelling her power through his in order to create such a huge reality change.....anyways blah blah....at the end she basically puts everything back except she takes away the majority of mutant powers instead.....hence the current situation with the X-Men being guarded by sentinals for their own protection as mutants are now a very small minority............anyways, Xavier is still missing when Cyclops discovers he had another brother called Vulcan who's existance Xavier wiped from his mind. A big thing kicks off and suddenly Xavier comes, walking, to resolve the bad deed that he done. It turns out that when the Scarlet Witch took mutants powers she also took Xaviers away but gave him his legs instead.
Cyclops is furious with Xavier and won't forgive his betrayal and has taken over the school and is trying to push Xavier out.
Vulcan is currently on a phoenix style rampage of hate across space and is on his way to kill all the shiar.
The X-Men have followed in an old Shiar spaceship but the stargate was destroyed and they are now trapped and lost in space!
Did that about cover it?

If you mean who stopped Xavier being able to walk way back in history, then it was an alien called Lucifer who was in the Himalaya's preparing to spearhead an invasion.
Chuck managed to stop him, but in the battle Lucifer caused a cave in which crushed Chuck's legs.

Oh really? i always wondered about that and in the Bishop and Gambit series they referrence the Scarlet Witch and the Lucifer thingie but i was confuse ---big surprise--- and wanted the wonderful fellow Gambitites to help me out. Thanks
Now this house of M arc is still running i thought it was over?

No...technically HoM is over....however the effects of it have taken effect on a permanant level, so mutants are now the minority, lots (like the Blob and Chamber and Beak) have lost their abilities for good...the sentinals are controlled by humans and run by....I don't know the company, but its run by head of security Valerie.....and they now permantly surround the X-Mansion which is housing all still powered mutants and they (the sentinals) are there to guard and protect the mutants, but they feel imprisioned.....which then led to some believing in Apoc's latest take-over-bid (including Gambit) and so forth up til the current arc!
What gets confusing is that this is in X-Men and Uncanny X-Men, but not so in Astonishing X-Men.....
And then you got Ultimate X-Men which is a whole different alternate universe!

Well.....I sure hope Chamber does!
As for Whedon on Astonishing.........I do remember that being said! Kinda refreshing actually to read something thats seperate but in 616....
Now theres a question.........whys the regular universe called 616 for short?

Certain mutants have already found ways to repower themselves - Iceman was supposed to be depowered, look at him now.
Quicksilver - depowered for about 4 issues of the Son of M run and now, powers ahoy.
At this rate they are going to have retconned it by the end of the year.

Doesn;t sound like they thought this out to well does it! And its never been explained what reasoning there was/is for The Scarlet Witch to depower some but not others? What made her choose? Why does someone 'bad' like Mystique or Sabretooth still have their powers?

If anything, past stuff is more important. I was a little kid when a lot of the major stuff took place, and for a fair chunk of it, my mother was still a kid. I gotta learn about the past somehow, or a lot of the present stuff don't make sense.

Yeah...its the fact that they do have such a long past and history that makes the characters seem so fleshed out and real....also its the messing up of their past and history that made me dislike the movies a little! (like Juggernaut not being Xaviers brother or Lady Deathstrike not being connected to Wolvies past).
