ok i LOVE x men:evolution and the 90s x men cartoon!

but this is to point out some thing that are better in one then the other.
 Evolution-vs-90s

 Animation: evolution

Story lines: i would say they both have their moments.

Voice Actors: this ones hard because the voices in 90s x men have more of               an accent which i love! but some one the voices in evolution were really hot! ... so i'm going to give that to both of them.

 Character backgrounds: 90's cartoon!

now i'm not saying all the things you can compare so if you think of one please tell us!!

I like everything from the 90s. Evo is good. But the 90s is great. It's from my time too. I grew up with that cartoon.

I think a lot of us grew up with that cartoon. I have to say, the 90's wins out for me for three reasons:

One, Logan's voice. Much better in the 90s. So was his dialogue
Two, The artwork. If you ask me, better all round in the 90s stuff. I never liked the more manga style.
Three, They made Remy a weird, french penis-head in Evo. No offense to anyone, but that didn't strike me as him. Maybe if I'd never seen TAS it wouldn't have bugged me so much, but they did him so well in TAS...

I'll shut up now.

The jokes Wolvie and Gambit did in the 90s was pretty funny for me. Yeah, and the artwork definately beat Evo from miles away.

it is true Remy was more french in evo but to me it's still pretty hot but the 90s voice is better.

Plus, TAS is one of the few places that Remy and Rogue have a really nice, believable, sensible relationship that doesn't leave me wanting to claw her eyes out.

Thats gotta count for something.

A few things I liked about Evo.  They went back to the beginnings, originally the X-Men were teenagers trying to learn to cope with their powers and acceptance and homework.

Another thing I really liked was how creative the writers used the X-Men's mutant abilites in Evo.  We got to see them use powers for everyday purposes, whether it's Kitty pulling milk cartons out of a fridge without opening the door, Cannonball making holes in the ground to plant trees in, or Logan walking in the room and impaling an apple on his claws.

I think Evo put more focus on the characters themselves and how they dealt with the world around them, instead of just save-the-planet storylines.  Not there is anything wrong with saving the planet storylines.  XTAS was great, and I'll be the first to admit Evo Season 1 was no shining victory, but Evo is still my favorite.

Heya X23...welcome to the board!

Erm.....of course I love XTAS over Evo, but you make a good point about comparing them all the same.

Animation wise I guess Evo is better because of the better techniques they have in cartoon creating compared to 15 yrs ago. However I prefer the look of the characters I knew from watching TAS. To me they'll always be the original and best.

Accents/voices....definitely TAS! Ii mean, Remy's voive was to die for whereas its too deep and depressing sounding in Evo.

Storylines: I would agree both and from what I have heard there is less focuss on Wolvie always saving the day in Evo. I like the sound of what Ave said about them using their powers in more interesting common ways in Evo too!

Romy: I love how Rogue and Remy played off eachother in TAS! The flirtation was the best ever and to this day is what people always comment on as 'the good ol' days' concerning their relationship. Evo kinda screwed with that, having Gambit as a less charming playboy and more thieving sneak so I didn't like it as much!

I like both but I'd have to say that TAS just edges out EVO

couple reasons....

wolverine annoyed me as "older wiser teacher" in evo. I liked him far better in TAS

More gambit in TAS.

I actually liked rogue equally in both shows...

cyclops and jean I liked better in evo...probably because they were less serious all of the time...but they did have an interesting love story in TAS.

There was more nightcrawler in evo too, and more depth to the bad guys.

But in the end dialogue, staying power, flirty romy moments, and funny lighthearted moments put TAS ahead.

yea i agree with all of that . ^

the only thing i can say about evo that i didn't like was not having alot of my fave characters. im ean they had about 90% of them but not all. that made me sad.

but i love it any way.

well all in all they wouldn't have gone with the story line of evo but it would have been cool to see Blink and Psylocke and Marrow in the style of the show.
