People say that there might another X-Men movie and that Gambit is definitly going to be in. My opinion I 'm not sure if they are making another X-Men movie[/color]  |

Well of course no body can say for sure but I think and hope there will be and I'm sure Marvel will also be hoping to be able to produce a fourth! As for Gambit appearing? Hmmmm? My question is not IF he will be in it but HOW....are they going to portray him in any way recognisable to the comic version or are they going to make changes to both his history and personality like they did with Rogue?

This is kinda old but it's what Simon Kinberg said about Gambit after X3 was released. He's said essentially the same thing over and over again, including actually stating that if he got to write another X movie, Emma Frost and Gambit would be his first choices.
"I think the one character we really wanted to find a way to include in the movie, and ultimately just couldn't find a way to do it, was Gambit. We wrote a cameo for him, and then really felt like it was better to save Gambit and give him a major role in a future X-Men movie, rather than give him a cameo where fans would be saying 'that's all I get of Gambit?' The plot that we chose for the story, felt like it was so good at introducing Beast and Angel, because of the department of mutant affairs and Warren Worthington the first being the creator of the cure. It all felt very right and very resonate. Finding a place for Gambit where he wasn't going to be just one of the team didn't come to us. We didn't want to introduce a fan favorite character and not be able to do him justice. There just wasn’t enough space in this movie."

Yeah, it would have spoilt him if they'd tried to squeeze him into the mess of mutants in X3.
I hope they do an X4, and I hope that they have Remy in it. I pretty much don't care if he is a villain or a hero at this point, just that they don't make him crappy, although I would want him as the mostly on the side of the angels character we know him as today.

Nice 'if' in there Nick.
I think if they do put him in a film, he'll be mediocre at best. We all expect so much of his character and we've waited so long that I doubt they'll be able to get him right in our eyes unless they pull a mircale out of their asses.

I always thought there'll be an X4. I mean the story hasn't really ended. Professor-X is still alive (you guys did watch 'till the end credits part, right?) and Magneto got back his powers. I'm sure they did plan an X4, but it's just do they have the cirector for it and all.
If Gambit's in, he should be the second lead role after Wolverine. That's the only way I can think it won't make the story sucky. They have to focus more on him and I hope he's not a student.

Ok if the next X-men movie starts Wolverine again I'm gonna be really pissed off. I've been saying all along that the Wolverine spinoff might as well be called X4 anyway.
So I dont see why Gambit should have the lead next to Wolverine. I dont see why Wolverine should have a lead at all! It's called overkill!
But all my rantings are probably for nothing. He's the marvel meal ticket.

Which is why Gambit should be in the Wolvie spin off as an introduction to him....then they can connect the spin off to X4 by not having Wolvie but hopefully exploring a character (Gambit) that people loved in the spin off and want to see more of!

i think they left the movies open so if someone wanted to they can add on to the movies and there are endless possiblity with the movie end and the conclusions and stuff.
